Great tips. It’s so important to learn our own hair. I’m type 3 and watch Bianca and all them you named. But I also have my type 4 influencers I love to watch and support. Some things Bianca does, does not work for me. Some does. Some things Denise does works great for my hair. And some doesn’t. It’s a learning experience and you have to learn for yourself. Not all type 3 hair is the same. Not all type 4 hair is the same.
@DeniseAdore4 жыл бұрын
I absolutely agree with you not everything will work for everyone. We have to learn our hair and it does take trial and error. When I first started my journey I washed a lot of type 3 girls because I thought their hair was beautiful and if I did what they did mine would be too. But when I started watching ppl with hair like mine I learned more about my hair and how to love my hair. Now when I watched girls with type 3 hair I can determine what products or techniques they use that may or may not work for my type 4 hair 😉

I thought I was protein sensitive because I was low porosity. My hair had been mushy, undefined, and super tangle prone for the longest. I finally caved and texturized it. After a while, it started breaking too. Then I cut it off and started again natural. Watching the GreenBeauty channel has saved my hair, my time, and money. I only use five products now. Oils, a washout conditioner I use as a base for my deep conditioner, and liquid hydrolyzed protein. Then a styler I after rinsing out my deep conditioner. Protein saved my hair, pls don't assume things about your hair without experimenting and researching. I never knew the majority of my hair was 4A till I started using Protein. Washday is more like wash hour now. I don't dread doing my hair and I find it quite relaxing actually. Also, I find I do not need to pre-poo and I wash my hair once a week instead of twice or once a month. My scalp is very sensitive to products and it'll itch so much if I don't wash it weekly. I'm in my six years of being natural and my hair has never looked, felt, and behaved better. I'm very excited to see how my hair journey progress.

That great I’m glad your hair is flourishing. I like green beauty’s channel as well I even have some of her protein treatments in my stash which I e used before. I also wash my hair weekly. That’s great you don’t have to pre poo. I prefer to do it though 😉

THANK YOU GIRL. I have a mistake that goes for MOST PEOPLE. If your scalp is itchy and/or flaking that means there is something you are using that you are sensitive or allergic to. Most people think that their scalp is dry, when in fact it is some of the crap we put in our hair and scalp. The itching/flaking/soreness/abnormal dryness is our bodies way of telling us something we are doing is not right, listen to it.

Great advice! People with high porosity may have to moisturise their hair daily if it's in a combed out fro or similar style. Products that offer days of moisture will contain a lot of humectants which cause shrinkage. People with high porosity who don't want shrinkage will have to moisturise (and stretch their fro) regularly with products that don't contain a lot of humectants.

I like to add moisture every other day or two even when my hair isn’t dry. I’ve found that my roots and ends dry out much quicker than the rest of my hair so it helps there, but I also lose less hair during wash day when I can keep the strands hydrated. Adding moisture keeps the environment from sucking the water from deep within the strand. Plus it also helps relieve the itchy scalp. And I’m definitely guilty of overdoing products at times and causing a whole flaky mess in my head. Lol I need to start paying more attention to which ones to use less of. Tfs!

Also my hair is naturally soft , I believe too soft
@DeniseAdore4 жыл бұрын
@@angelarobinson415 ok but what is the issue with your twist out? You said you hair is thin and soft, but when you do your twist out what is the problem with it? Dry? No definition or hold? What products are you using for your twist out? Also if your hair is too soft try a dc with protein like the Soultanicals Afrotastic at Sally’s

Low porosity and I don't need much protein at all. I don't do treatments anymore
@DeniseAdore4 жыл бұрын
Do you use deep conditioner with protein sometimes in your routine instead? I don’t have to do hard treatments much anymore either cause I use protein dcs every 2 or 3 wash days

Any answers to why one side of my hair grows faster and longer than the other
@DeniseAdore4 жыл бұрын
Is the side that is shorter the side you sleep on?
@kehinderowland62324 жыл бұрын
@@DeniseAdore Wow thanks for replying!❤️ I mean I definitely change sides throughout the night so I’m not certain. But I’ve had this problem for years, even when try cut the longer side shorter it always catches up gets longer and the significance is huge😪
@DeniseAdore4 жыл бұрын
@@kehinderowland6232 ok hair doesn’t normally grow fast on one side of our heads so you need to find out why that side is breaking off more than the other side. Make sure you’re always sleeping with a satin bonnet and/or pillowcases. Try to give that side some extra attention like moisturize it more often if need and use some deep conditioners with protein at least every other wash day. And take a multivitamin with iron in it

@@DeniseAdore Thank you so much for your advice and tips. I’ll look in to the iron multivitamins
