Coming from the perspective of a player who only started playing late last year (and thus has no nostalgia for the gen 2 Morgans), here's my take on things. I agree that people are being a bit harsh. From a model perspective, the horse looks great, it's well-made like the rest of their models, albeit a bit odd-looking due to the source material. The texturing is a bit worse than normal, making the coats look a bit muddy, as well as the tails stringy and almost spaghetti like. But it's nothing too bad, they've had worse textures before. My main complaint lies in the animations. I understand that animations are reused for time-saving purposes, but there's a general lack of quality overall for the Morgans. Specifically in the trot and canter, things feel particularly stiff. From an animator's perspective, it's just poor quality animations compared to the standard we've come to expect given the release of absolutely gorgeous animations from the Tennessee Walker, Shire, Arabian, and (some of the animations from) the Belgian Warmblood. It sucks, because the bay and the silver are gorgeous coat colors. I would've loved to purchase these guys if they weren't stiffer than an arthritis-ridden grandma 😭💀 People can enjoy these horses, I'm not saying they can't, but unfortunately this is why people want Star Stable to stray away from pushing out horses so often, so they can focus on polish and gameplay instead. Quality over quantity. Critiques aside, your videos are always quite fun to watch, and always manage to help me form my own perspective rather than just following the crowd. Love your content, Denis

As someone who never bought a morgan but played during the gen 1.5 models, I hate the new morgans simply because the coats make the model look gross, the bay is the only good looking one in my opinion

A really small but cool detail on the morgan horse is that they lift their tail (more noticeable then other horses) when they walk!

I bought the bay as well- he's called Fancyboy and he is a weird little horse. Just a silly little guy. I may get the braid manestyle too but I wanted to get the straight cut one because it looks like his mom gave him a haircut so it suits him :) Nice video as always Denis, and I am surprised Jake actually bought one... lol

GREAT VIDEO ❤ I think the way we look at this horse and say "damn that rat is ugly" is also influenced by their animations (the way they position parts of the horse while it's moving makes a huge difference to it's posture and morgans look absolutely awful when they move) the way it's butt and hind legs move is just so OFF. In the walk everything is fine, but when they start trotting, the problem begins. Their hind legs are strangely stiff, they don't seem to be able to fully straighten up and I can't even express how much it annoys me to see this. And because it's legs can't straighten, his whole body droops except for it's head and neck and looks very stretched and uncomfortable. the same with canter and gallop, the hind legs are bent all the time and horses are not supposed to move like that, they can't, even. They can't push off the ground with legs being bent all the time. Second canter, though hind legs aren't so bad, isn't the best either. Neck goes foward while rest of the body stays behind and they look as if they're about to trip up. It would be easly resolved and they would look 2 times more balanced if they would just throw their front legs more forward. (eng is not my first language sorry if I totally messed up grammar lol)

Albeit the morgans in real life aren't the most appealing, the animations in-game definitely kill this horse for a lot of people, myself included. So many anatomy things that are just not right about this breed. Not to mention the canon bones being far too long-- though SSO has an issue with shrinking the radius and elongating the canon bones in general (i.e. with the paints and the arabians)

Their animation bothers me so much. It feels like the horse is injured and it makes me uncomfortable. I have this feeling, that I am riding a horse, which did not recover yet from an accident fully and I feel sorry. So he is staying in the stable for now. Which is sad, because I actually managed to put together a nice outfit -.-

They aren’t after Lippitt Morgan’s. They don’t look like them at all. Lipitt Morgan’s are much larger, stockier and proportioned and don’t have a wide forehead. So sad. They’re short like modern Morgan’s but have stocky build like foundation Morgan’s. It kinda seems like they took the most strange feature in every Morgan type and mushed it together.

I think they're really, I love the vibrancy in the coats they really nice. My one nitpick is the way the back legs stretch and behave when they gallop, but I could be over analyzing. I love the black silver coat one though! I was going to go with the perlino because creamy gold palomino type horses are usually my fav but the black silver one spoke to me, and I thought why not go for something different. I may purchase the perlino one later on and I'm excited for the app morgan that horse is nice! So sorry my comment is way to long hahaha!

I don't hate these I still don't think these are good representatives of the lipid since they are a draftier version of the morgan. But Lipids were the foundation of all morgans they put so much saddlebred and arabian in the breed now they don't even look like what they used to look like they aren't true morgans anymore.
