WrestleMania 6 was the first WrestleMania I watched as a kid Seeing Warrior Gorilla press Hogan was the loudest I ever popped as a pro wrestling fan And Bret Hart vs Roddy Piper was the match that made me a Bret Hart fan i was already a Roddy fan at that point I fully understand Chris is saying about both matches being classics

@@lordeowstheking this mode had less than 30 matches, meaning not all the WrestleManias. 2k14 when they did 30 years of WrestleMania had over 40 matches, at least 1 per WrestleMania event. The objectives also feel like a chore to do a lot of the time (though I personally don't have as much of a problem with them as most others do), and some key matches are just omitted. Although, I do like that Piper vs. Hart was in this year's showcase mode, and that Kurt Angle was finally in some key matches that involved him; notably, Angle vs. Guerrero for the WWE title. I couldn't get past the women's triple threat match, it's so hard to complete even simple objectives sometimes with an oddball thrown in there. I also only got to play for a weekend deal that Steam had, so I've got somewhere to pick up when I can actually get the game. I don't want to, but I might have to switch the difficulty to easy just to make the objectives doable. And I love the showcases. I know a lot of people don't, but all the showcases I've played I've loved. I even really liked this one, but it's not the same, and it could and should be better. Hopefully with 2k25, we get a better showcase. I wouldn't be upset with something like a Road to WrestleMania to return, or maybe a season mode similar to the original PS2 wrestling games

I revisited the 2k14's 30 years of WrestleMania video chris made 1-2 years ago & just realized that it lasted longer than the 40 years of WM video. That speaks volumes.

This entire comment section is shitting on 2K but I honestly think they should get some credit for this mode despite how it turned out. The fact they recreated over a hundred scenes that SEAMLESSLY transition into the actual fight footage must’ve been a ton of work and probably why there are less matches than 2K14. Recreating every arena perfectly then making the exact unique camera angles at each individual venue (even handheld camera angles that are not used at any other point in the game) then synching up the game footage to match the flashbacks in a way that doesn’t feel clunky is super impressive and truly does feel like a good idea on paper that was executed very well…. Unfortunately, in order to get those moments it requires additional objectives that make the game more tedious and then there’s a weird contrast between it feeling like a simulation mode vs a video game mode where bc it’s intergraded so well at some moments it then feels weird not following the exact match the rest of the game (I.E. Andre getting slammed 5 times) but visually it looks great and I can tell they actually tired to make the mode different than the 30 year one in a unique cool way and even though it fell short, the fact they tired is pretty impressive considering how they normally operate. Plus, I can almost guarantee if it was too much like 2K14 everyone would be complaining about how all they did was add in 10 matches and reskin a 10 year old mode bc they are lazy/greedy. At least w this version we can say they weren’t lazy… just worked too hard on stuff fans aren’t as passionate about and made the gameplay worse as a result of that. Also makes the KZbin video way worse bc he has to cut so much but tbh seeing all the hate was weird to me bc I was just impressed w 2K for trying lol

Yo, why isn't there a single match from WrestleMania 14 to 16? This mode looks like it could use some knowledge... and absence of irl footage.. no Hogan vs. Rock, no Austin vs. Rock from Mania 15, Taker vs. Kane and HBK vs. Austin from 14, skipping over Cena and Batista in Mania 21, Undertaker vs. Batista at 23, Cena vs. HHH at 22, Cena vs. HBK at 23, Edge vs. Taker and HBK vs. Flair at 24... yeah, this is a very bad showcase. Atleast they included Taker vs. HBK at Mania 25 which they didn't include in the 30 years mode. Edit: Okay there are so many matches missing LMAO
