I want to love my denman...the curls be lush but it be too curly while my pattern brush doesn't snag as much the curls still be curling. I actually can use the pattern brush in the shower where I won't with my denman.

Girl, I need HELP and I think you’re the one! Two plus years of lockdown and zoom meetings (camera off) has left my hair looking and FEELING a mess. Single strand knots. Dryness. Frizz!! Just dusty looking and dry feeling. I usually use a mix of leave in condish and curling custard. I’m sure that a gel (I recently bought pattern gel) would give me higher shine but I don’t want to dry my hair out even more. I’ve never tried the wet line and I don’t use Ecco styler because it’s so so heavy that my curls fall asleep. Okay, enough complaining. I have every product under the sun, at every price point so I can try anything you recommend. What would you try first for hair that’s 4a-ish, 3c in places, super fine and delicate, but also dense?? I have a LOT of hair but each strand is so fine I need to talk very gently to it, lest it quit me and run away. I’ll try any combo you recommend and will not blame you if it Doesn’t work, hahaha! You just seem to have figured some stuff OUT, so I’m down with whatever. Thank you!!

It makes sense because you can make a different shape by doing that as well. Because shingling will have your hair extra shrunken and raking elongates the hair.
