An astonishing country. As from German heritage born in The Netherlands and having visited Denmark several times, a feeling of being at home so comfortably immediately had come over me. Denmark for me personally could possibly best be described as Dutch Zealand inlarge, being a geographically evenly low landscape, serene and spacious :)

Beautifully done documentary for a better understanding of Denmark’s country . Now I understand why Denmark is a developed country and an agricultural country at the same time. It seems that the Danes and their Rulers are quite intelligent in the way they use the resources and the Natural characteristics that they have. I also appreciated that they avoided the construction of buildings by the sea , á situation that doesn’t happen in most countries. It seems that they manage to balance the preservation of the environment, the national and architectural landscape, with the progress in economy, which is not always easy. An example for the world.

I used to watch this show when I was 11 years old and I was fascinated by the unique visual perspective on European cities. Now nine years later drone technology has made shots like these commonplace but this program still stands the test of time.

Beautiful, I was so lucky to have visited Denmark as a tourist, and seeing this brought back wonderful memories. The castles, tivoli gardens, city center. new haven and other places are just exquisitely beautiful. Kronborg castle is amazing. I would recommend that Denmark should be on your bucket list. Amazing video from the world above.

My great grandfather Niels Jensen served as a soldier in the Kronborg castle in the year 1880(18th battalion, 2nd company). His father Gregers Jensen fought in both Schleswig-Holstein wars. Thanks for sharing this incredible video!

An awesome video! However when showing Kronborg you forgot one very important thing. In the cellars of the castle, Holger Danske (Ogier the dane) is sleeping, waiting for when Denmark is in its biggest need and he will wake up and save the country.

We had three absolutely stunningly BEAUTIFUL Danish foreign exchange students at my High School when I was a junior lol this was way back in like 92-93-ish. I remember one's name was; Hella Jørgensen, one was Nicole 'something' (I can't quite remember,) and I can't recall the third one's name at all. What I do remember is that they were all tall, blonde, and effortlessly gorgeous. All the boys wanted them and the girls were insanely jealous.

Copenhagen has a really lovely city layout. Europe indeed has rich history. I have watched a lot of the videos on this channel but I would like to see a 25 min clip of parts of England which will include London, Cambridge, Oxford, Bath Spa, Liverpool and York. similarly would like to see a 25 minute clip on Paris architecture and modern day La Defense as well as Disney Land Paris. Really Nice Videos, I'm African and its sad that we don't have this form of history or perculiar Architecture. Maybe Arab African Countries like Egypt. But in West Africa, there's not much documentary on the history of the continent

I really enjoyed this. Well made and well narrated. A definitely big thumbs up. Shakespeare never visited Denmark and he nicked the plot to Hamlet from Saxo Grammaticus’ description of Denmark and the danes in his “Gesta Danorum”, where he writes about a danish Prince of Jutland, Amled, son of Orvendel, who together with his brother Fegge ruled Jutland. Fegge killed his brother, and in thus gained control over Jutland and married the brothers widov, Gerutha. Amled avoided being killed by acting as a lunatic and spoke in riddles. Amled was later killed in battle and is supposed to be resting in “Ammelhede” just outside of Randers.

Enjoyed this very much. We spent a week in Copenhagen in Spring of 2015, really enjoyed the city. When we visited the Little Mermaid, we could hardly get to see it because it was being swarmed by tourists, many of them climbing all over it and taking selfies or having friends take their picture. The city should consider forbidding people from climbing over it, it was really such a madhouse the day we walked by. We continued on to the four palaces, where we got to visit the museum that is open to the public, which had very good collections displaying Danish history. Also have to recommend the Danish National Museum, which has a wonderful small room with many large and small standing rune stones. And don't miss the huge skeleton of the aurochs.

Ledreborg, hosts concerts in Augus. Different concerts every year. Round tower was buid, not sure he build it exactly, but it was ideas of Christian the 4th, in the 16th cnetury I think, and as we began the 1800s, it was here Copenhagen citizens could seek shelter, while the Brites were firing and shooting at us, and ended up taking our fleet, at that time. To add on Tivoli, build in 1840'es, by Georg Carstensen, who said: "when people are amused, they don't politic"

The Bombardment of Copenhagen was in 1807. Not 1801.
@bzdtemp7 жыл бұрын
Yes, the terror bombardment of Copenhagen took place in 1807. However the English also attack the Danish fleet and it's area at Copenhagen in 1801 and the fort shown in the video played a major role so the video is correct.
