This is a lithium atom because it has the atomic number 3... the atomic number expressed how many protons their are in the nucleus. The proton count is the same as the electron count or the atom would be unstable. So, the three electrons represent the atomic number 3, which is lithiums atomic number.

As there are 3 blue and yellow shapes in the centre (yellow and blue must represent protons and neutrons). There are 3 protons and neutrons. The only element with 3 protons is lithium so its an atom of lithium.

Those would be the orbits that the electrons follow around the atoms nucleus. This isn't how an atom technically works but thinking of it in this way is fine and how it is taught to students pre-uni.

@foxybrittany1 Well, it depends on how big your craft rings are. if its too big it might not fit. I suggest medium ones like 1 1/2 what i used. Anyways,. yeah it doesnt matter, just make sure it fits in the rings or the board or wichever method your doing :)
