As a mortician... I can assure you that this was not easy to do and it's expensive. The time it would take and the careful handling of everything from start to finish. Well done. I've done something like this twice here in America... the families were being true to their native customs. This is not a new trend & it's been going on for hundreds of years in both the black & white race. Google death photos from the 1700-1800's You'll see a lot of odd things (to us!) However, to most of them from that time period, the death picture may be the only photo of their loved one, was from the funeral.

This is not Culture, this is personal preference by the family or the deceased before they passed. Many go over the top when a loved one dies, but probably didn't show them a quarter of that devotion when they were alive.

Do a little research and you’ll find that this is how some people do it in other cultures. And the deceased (many times) even specify their exact wishes to be embalmed like this. Just because it’s not your typical way, doesn’t mean people have to alter their culture to suit YOUR preferences
