Don't really get the comments thinking this is a good thing. There's a difference between over zealous bureaucracy and overprotection on the one hand and sending a 10 year old child steeplejacking on the other. I'd wager few would offer to do that job themselves and fewer still would send their children up that ladder. With good reason.

None of these people have ever been up a ladder before. It’s a simple case of they have no idea about the danger and risk as well as being poorly educated.

He never "worked" as a steeplejack while he was a boy, he's in school uniform, this is done as a lark for the cameras and he has a safety harness on. His parents actually cared about his education and his life. It's only people today think it's a good idea to send 10 year old to work as a steeplejack to be internet tough guys and prove "kids these days as all weak". They brought in laws against child labor because children were used as a cheap, expendable workforce, if one died you could just get another from a poor desperate family.

I see no problem with a 10 year old kid being a staple Jack but I think it's a little stupid allowing him to do carnival tricks up in the air hanging on to things and playing games up there
@TheRealFOSFOR2 жыл бұрын
Well.. If he were to fall to his death, you could ask yourself. Was it the right thing to let him do this job at that age considering he could have had a long life before deciding what he really wants to do for a living. I mean, every child has crazy ideas about what he/she wants to be, but they should have time to really see the world and understand what choices they have.

He was hooked in, Daddy even showed that before he started to climb. You also see him on the top of the ladder hook in again so he can loose the ladder.
