"Heineken? Fuck that shit! PABST! BLUE! RIBBON!" 30 years later, "Blue Velvet" still sends chills down my spine, and Dennis Hopper's Frank Booth stands out as one of the most memorable and menacing villains to ever grace the silver screen.

Believe it or not even Bobby Vinson was considered for the part . He would have been better than Loggia but Hopper pitched himself to Lynch saying “ I am Frank Booth !” And the rest is the history cliche

I've often said, when an actor can make you hate or fear one of the character's that they are portraying, that is a great actor..Dennis was such an underrated, yet great actor, he could play a whacko/sicko about as well as most, if not all of the GREAT actors....simply an amazing talent !!!
@powerglover20212 жыл бұрын
I agree. There use to be actors that I hated because they would always play the bad guys. I came to realize that they are just really good actors to as you said, hate and fear them.

I hadn’t seen it for a few years, and I got to Frank’s scene. Needless to say, I unsent and erased the links I sent to my sis and Dad. 😂

Dennis Hopper, Blue Velvet, Frank, taught me to dive a bit, to go below the surface, in the attempt to figure out, to understand, why we humans, over and over, end up as these dysfunctional, violent idiots. So to this date, Dennis Hopper, is the most important actor in my life. Thank you Mr. Hopper. Your contribution will not be forgotten.
