One of my best friends had a cat named Feck, after Dennis Hopper's character in The River's Edge. He was a pretty odd cat, just kind of off even as cats go.

actually with todays technology they could isolate Dennis voice after he uses the breathing mask and have two different versions the one where Dennis plays Frank Booth and another version where Dennis plays Frank Duck I would love if they could .... Actually there probably is a version unauthorized where someone isolated Dennis's voice each time he used the mask and would sound like severely so high pitched your windows would shatter ... Anyone know a link where perhaps that was actually done ? Oh that would be so beautiful .... They could make a version where every character from every Lynch movie could be superimposed into this film alone as cameos .... Like Matchkin and Laura Flynn Boyle Jack Nance but as Henry Spencer because he looks so different from this movie...Lynch himself yelling at the kids from Inland Empire ..... Like this is unacceptable .... Or when he's painting the floor getting his pants filled with green paint WHO WANTS SOME FIXER John Hurt as The Elephant Man Anthony Hopkins as the doctor the log lady Cale from Twin Peaks Laura Palmer The kid from the Grandmother the Dumb land characters BOB guy with one arm Harry Dean Stanton asking for money The cast from Mullholland Drive Lost Highway Inland Empire The Rabbits Buck the whores from Twin Peaks The Lady From The Radiator Henry Spencers neighbor Cbarlotte Stewart the old lady mixing salad .... Jack Fisk with the crank and of course In Heaven Everything Is Fineeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee OK PAUL Lynch making Quinoa

Yeh, literally nobody cud play that part like Duvall-- he's unique n mf hardcore as that kinda character-- only comparable with R Lee Ermy in full metal jacket, n obv The greatest actor in the movie-- Brando.
@paulatkinson55667 күн бұрын
The reason he had a heart attack is working out and a loads of cocaine etc etc.... Coppalla was also on it too, going on the doc.... it was mid '70s Hollywood movie... AND IT OBV IS A MASTERPIECE. DUVALL WAS ALSO AWESOME AS KILGORE N OBV BRANDO something else AS KUTTZ N OBV SHEEN WAS BRILLIANT AS WILLARD.

I’m a big Lynch fan. Anyway a few days ago, I sent the Blue Velvet trailer to my dad and sister to recommend to watch. Anyway, a few hours later I was watching Blue Velvet. I hadn’t seen it for a few years, and I got to Frank’s scene. Needless to say, I unsent and erased the links I sent to my sis and Dad. 😂

that scene he said was cut probably went back in later on because I remember watching it in the version I saw.

Tom Selleck as Lance White was the version of TV private investigator they wanted to lampoon. Magnum PI itself became much more similar to the Rockford Files. Selleck coulda played Sebastian Saber as a wealthy mystery writer who imagines himself to be this hero.

One very important thing I notice with great actors like Dennis Hopper is how passionately they negotiate and argue how a character handles every nuance in a scene with the director. Like we saw in that little clip on the set of Apocalypse Now. I see parallels even in Job interviews for a professional Engineer and need to continually remind myself in todays job interview environment that being yourself and speak your mind within respectful bounds of course, is not supposed to be the performance, but who you really are. What you eventually end up doing is the performance. The more I look at any job interview this way the less I see no job offers as failing interviews and the more i see it as a company failing to meet my standards and/or expectations. Staying true to that mindset will eventually land you a job that you care more about and give you more leverage in all aspects of the role, as long as both parties see eye to eye and can factor in 1-2 minor compromises. It’s truer today as an older man than when I got my first job 30 years ago.

Oh well he did what he to accomplish the Blue Velvet gig and he did a damn fine job playing insane. Now if he had used that Gas Mask on Sandra Bullock in Speed I woulda felt morose

However it may be necessary to be high to enjoy Blue Velvet. I saw it in a packed theatre on opening night and the audience was screaming with laughter from the first fire truck. I wouldn’t have known it was a comedy otherwise.
