I recently got that DVD from ebay, great performances. I have all his released solo work. Seen him live many times. Also saw Dr Hook each time they toured the UK. Happy days.

In the 70's we always took for granted some excess was occurring in the band. I recall one album being called Bankrupt. I loved their music. They could take a Shel Silverstein song and give it a life if it's own. Search for video of them recording on Shel's houseboat. Carry Me Carrie in particular.

Excuse me. Dennis ended up with all of the debts? Maybe that's because he made sure that he owned the name, right under everyone else's nose.

Thanks for your comments. Firstly let me say I have NO axe to grind in this. It's always been on public record. As you will know in the past there has been years of litigation over DR Hook and the ownership of the name. Ive heard directly from conversations with Dennis whom Iv'e no reason to doubt. Ray Sawyer retained the rights to perform as DR Hook in the USA but as we all know Ray passed away years ago. Now I understand Dennis owns the world wide rights to the name. After all he was and still is the voice of Dr Hook! Maybe you have contradictory information?
