Your videos are incredible. All these sights in Liverpool are very sacred, not just the graves but everything. I found seeing Paul's and Mike's mother's grave particularly moving. It got me thinking about how they must have grieved her loss so heavily. I've always heard he was young, but now that I think about it, Paul must have only just turned 14 in the June before she died in the October of 1956, is that right? What a shocking year that must have been for Jim and the boys. We hear a lot about John's grief of his mum, and obviously it had a very turmultuous affect on John the rest of his life, but Paul, by all accounts seems to have grieved very solitarily and quietly, but without a doubt it took a massive toll on the direction of his life. He loves his mum very much and it always touches me when he posts a photo of her on his social media. I heard Mike saying once that Paul was very different after her death and was almost constantly playing the guitar as a way to cope. This sadly, could be how he became so virtuouso like on instruments, by dedicating every moment to it in a way that many wouldn't have time to do, unless you were dealing with some huge life event.. It kind of brings a tear to my eye to think of Paul, July 1957, totally into his music which is comforting him through the loss of his mum just a few months before, strolling around the fete that day unawares his life was about to change, meeting John. John with no idea he was about to lose his mum the following July 1958. Little did they know what fate would become and that they would go on to share all that they did together. Remarkable really.

So when they have a headstone with multiple names on them... are all of these people buried in their caskets stacked on top of each other? Or are they all cremated, then the urns buried in the plots? Sorry for the odd question - just not very common to see that here in the US.

In the UK it is possible to have up to three coffins in one grave, perhaps four, it all depends on the ground and the Cemetery but commonly just two, you can scatter as many ashes as you like or even bury them just a few inches under the soil.
@jameshepburn463110 ай бұрын
Not really common in the U.S. but there are stacked coffins (usually only two) here, typically husband & wife. Don’t forget we have a lot more land here than in the U.K., so side by side graves are the norm. As cemetery prices keep going up, using one grave for multiple coffins will likely become more common.
