At 9:57 Dennis makes an important point. I recently retired, didn't like it, so I took a part time job at a major retailer. The store manager, who has been in the business for about 45 years told me one day that the major difference between new hires today and those of several years ago is that today's hires have never been under anyone's authority. Not parents, teachers, police, or really anyone has ever had appropriate control over them. It shows in so many ways. He told me that is why we try and hire as many people in their 60s as we can. Thanks for reading.

@@tolofson18 Poor....hardly? Yesterday morning, 6 of the 15 employees who were scheduled as "openers" did not report for work. Maybe they really did not need the money? I KNOW THEIR PARENTS DO! None are in their teens, and all still live at home. "Without imposed discipline, One can hardly ever develop self-discipline." Anonymous.

@@goodtalker Perhaps they're fed up earning poverty-level wages and being managed by assholes? In other words, they chafe at the continued prospect of remaining under the thumb of individuals who might themselves profit from a touch of "discipline." Imposed from within? Or perhaps some very much needed "discipline" imposed from...without? "It is mine to avenge; I will repay. In due time their foot will slip; their day of disaster is near and their doom rushes upon them.” Managers and owners of the world, repent and repay...for their day is done...

@Thomas Olofson Interesting line from Deuteronomy 32. That long passage ends with this to the Israelites: "Take to heart all the words I have solemnly declared to you this day, so that you may command your children to obey carefully all the words of this law. They are not just idle words for you-they are your life. By them you will live long in the land you are crossing the Jordan to possess.”

As Jews and Christians we must support and reaffirm each others faith. We can learn to disagree politely who we think Christ is. Christs message is extremely rewarding to a Christian in serving God. My main point is God is the main point whether we believe he came flesh 2000 years ago or has not come yet. Gods words wash over us. Serving God can heal America and ourselves.

I have also heard plenty of people say that they would save their dog over a human stranger but I honestly believe that in the moment of it actually happening, most people would save the human. I think they just say that to sound rebellious as if the whole world is horrible and their dog is honorable and would never betray them.

Psalms 119:151 Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth. Jesus is The Word, John 1:1-5 The Word God spoke: Exodus 20:1 The Word God wrote: Deuteronomy 4:13 and The Word God made flesh John 1:14. He is our example of The Trinity. He is The Law that hung on the cross and The Law that is written in the heart. Psalms 40:7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me Hebrews 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. With obedience to The Father in Deut. 6:8-9, The Father anoints us with His Word, putting us in His Son, The Holy Spirit. Build up the body of Christ by 'putting on' The Lord. Cling to, dwell in the law (Ten Commandments) and testimony (Sermon on the Mount). We know His voice. His words are spirit and they are life. Hear Him. Prepare for your future and the life of your loved ones. As Paul tells us, "put on Jesus." Cling to, dwell in the Truth.

With Prager's sycophantic admiration of Trump, he should revised the phrase to read, "wisdom begins with the fear of God, and the love of Trump."

Being brought up as an orthodox Jew, I would love to see an honest and intellectual debate and an exchange of ideas of the existence of the Trinity and exactly why religious Jews do not believe in the holy "Trinity" of G-d between Dennis Prager and the religious Christians. I would love to see a true resolution of such a debate! As far as I know, the Jews do believe in a "Misiah" that will appear when the end of what we know is near yet the Christians believe that the "Son of G-d", being one of the Trinity components will come back also near our known end as well. But the Jews do not believe that the "Misiah" is the "Son of G-d"! The Jews only believe in one of the components of the Trinity which is the "Father" in this sense. The Jews do not believe that the "Father" G-d would make part of himself as a living human being in order to experience the pain of human suffering as well as what it is to live as a human being rather than a pure spiritual being as G-d is as the Christians believe. I would love to see a debate between Dennis Prager and the religious Christians attempting to resolve this particular issue which really is the only issue that truly separates the Jews from the Christians.

You tube has good debates between Rabbi Tovia Singer and Christian’s. Dennis doesn’t seem to touch this subject he just says the Jews await the messiah for the first time and Christian’s await his second coming. Dennis works on a Christian radio station because he believes in judeo Christian values and then Ten Commandments.

Not necessarily. MY PARENTS WERE NOT BORN AGAIN FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. IN MANY ways MY WISDOM CAME FROM GOD.but God's wisdom says to not display disrespect to authority figures.God's wisdom IN THE NEW TESTAMENT warns authorities to not abuse authority otherwise God will bring judgement upon them as well.Just as Hitler, Mao,,Pharoah, Mussolini. For we have one master the Lord Jesus Christ.Wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord in general .However, there is a gift of the Holy Spirit in the NEW TESTAMENT called the spirit of Wisdom. There are many other spiritual gifts as well...Healing,miracles,prophecy,word of knowledge.

Dennis has a lot of wisdom but in my view he comes across as arrogant like you need to listen to me I have all the answers ! Also in honoring your mother or father, what if one or both of your parents are not worthy of it, I know people that were beyond horrible parents ? Lastly what about the founding fathers, they were religious and sanctioned slavery ? People in the south were mostly church going people during the first and middle part of the 20th century and allowed Jim crow to continue ? I agree with prager the left has done things wrong but so has the right ! Lastly the Rev Billy Graham stated late in life he wished he would have stayed out of politics ! How are you going to win people over when you tell them everything you believe is wrong ?

One of the reasons he says honor your parents because it correlates with Do not covet. He says that people that covet have no gratitude. He is big on gratitude. I think in his life he is religious but his life’s work has always been political as opposed to Billy graham who was a preacher first.
