Looked like a nice place to relax and listen to the waves. Also to run in and take a quick shower that is if they let you on a day pass. What I think would be nice to find a place to stay with electric that you can set up a tent to put in an stand up A/C unit during the hot summer. At least it would help for a good night rest and hope to keep the bugs out. I've seen that in some videos. Enjoyed being able to see the place. Thanks.

That State park looked like a parking lot ! No thanks. Most of our State parks in Florida are wooded with space between sites . I do like Goose Island State park! 👍😁🇺🇸

Hey Ralph, I've said it in other comments but Mustang Island State Park might be my least favorite Texas state park that I've been to. If I want access to the water I would much rather go up the road to Port Aransas. The new office and store looked interesting but they did not allow filming inside.

I have never been to Mustang Island State Park and I really want to go and check it out! I would like to do some truck camping down that way and do some surf fishing. I don't like the parking lot for camping either. I would like to find a place to do some camping on the beach. Thanks for showing me around Dennis! Hey Lisa. Even for pay camping, I would rather go to Padre Island national seashore. 95% of the time the beach there is unacceptable at the state park. At least to me. They don't allow filming in the new office and the store so that didn't do much for me either.

Hello Dennis, it was pretty tight at mustang island state park but we had real good neighbors for most of the time we were there from Germany. I don't think we would stay there again though because of the sites, have a great rest of the day Dennis

The Camping spots at mustang island are not as nice a most of the state parks they are not as roomy. But if you want a water and electric site that close to the Gulf it is very reasonably priced compared to the alternatives. Great video Dennis!!!👍👍☺️

Unfortunately, there are many coyotes in the Sand dunes, and sometimes they will take a dog or a cat. We even have badgers in our sand dunes. Raccoons, rattlesnakes, deer… It's a complete ecosystem.

Thank you very much friend. I just can't imagine setting up camp for a week in that square parking lot with no shade and then having to walk several hundred yards to the beach. You could go to Port Aransas for $12 a year and have a much better view.

I've always found it interesting that more of Mustang Island State Park is on Padre Island than is on Mustang Island. Fish Pass is the boundary.
