I opened the Johnston Unit, a twin sister of the Glosbrenner unit, up in Winnsboro, in 1995, and retired in 2019, with 24 years there. SAFP is a great career, and one of the best work environments as a Correctional Officer. I thank God that he gave me the ability to help so many men, in their recovery journey.😊

Hello friend. Good morning. The police are only allowed to ask for your identification if you are suspected of committing a crime. The first thing I do whenever I'm speaking to a law enforcement officer is all for them to show my ID. Know who they are and that way they know who I am. I think they really appreciate it as well. so lots of jackrabbits at the Prison. I don't get to see them that often. Also got to see some mother ducks and ducklings. Have to go back the next two weekends so I'm going to look up stuff online to go film while my friend visits. Hope you're doing well and having an awesome day.

Good morning Dennis. I enjoyed the ride along this morning. Great to see San Diego Texas. I’ve seen cotton growing in the fields before I Cartersville, Georgia,it’s so pretty. I’ve never picked any, but my dad has lots of stories when he was a kid and they picked cotton to help with the family. They had six kids and times were tough.He was born in 1943 . My generation had it a lot better.I know you have your old family stories too. Good to know where we came from and how our families had to survive! Good morning friend. Cotton is the main crop in this area. I'll try to get some close-ups of the bushels and of all the cotton lining the sides of the roads. Just a little tiny pieces fall out during transportation, and it fills up pretty quickly. I really wish I would've went over there about a month ago. It's like being in the middle of a snowfield. Hey Jamie. With the Prison only a few miles away I could see changing those buildings into apartment complexes and then on the lower level of coffee shop or breakfast place. Built-in customers. I see a lot of those buildings throughout Texas and even northwest Pennsylvania that are empty and need to be revitalized. I hope you're doing well today, friend

As always I learned a few new things watching. :) You mentioned the prison is keeping the town alive and I bet you are 100% right. Along those lines I've been meaning to take a trip to see how it's doing since adding that 20,000 employee steel mill. I heard the company I work for is putting in a new housing community there which is probably the first Sinton has seen in a LONG time.

I have a few friends that work out in Sinton at the steelmill. They make very good money. San Diego could use something like that as well. That Prison out there provides a lot of work and all the necessary facilities that go with it for new employees. The town is actually grown since I was last spare a few years ago.

Always like to see small towns that I haven't been to. The grocery store and ACE is like a one stop shopping. Gee those hunting blinds look like nice small places to live. Hey friend. I shopped at that Lowe's store quite a bit. I was amazed at how much they had in there. They even had things that even HEB didn't have. Pretty cool. I also saw several consignment and secondhand shops, but I think would interest you.

Good morning Dennis. I went through San Diego on my way to Baffin Bay. One of your videos got my curious of Baffin Bay so I had to check it out. There is a Lowes market where I live to. They are based out of Littlefield Texas They are a nice store. The one where I live isn’t very busy as we have an HEB and a Walmart super center. Was a nice ride as usual always nice to see new areas. Stay safe stay healthy

San Diego, Tx use to be a booming town when the oilfield was booming. Some of the best Mexican pastries at the bakery. I don't think it's open anymore. Use to have Pan de Campo (cowboy bread) festival.

I honestly don't know what they would be officially called. Basically water coming out of my legs in seven or eight different spots. Carbuckles? Blisters?

@@dennis78382 I had the same thing but they are going away since I wear compression socks. . It's cause is from sitting for to long periods of time. I am guilty of that. You pinch off the blood flow going back up your leg as just sits in your leg. Hope this helps.
