Tech stacks were supposed to help us ship things faster, but now it feels like managing the stack is more complicated than coding itself!

Two years ago, I started building a project and fell right into the stack-switching trap-exactly like you talked about here. I kept jumping from one framework to another, trying out Vue, Angular, React, and even playing with microservices, K8S, and Docker. I had to put the project on hold. Now, I'm back at it, but this time, I’m keeping things simple!

Maybe I’m old school, but back when we followed behavior-driven development (BDD), it was all about getting the vision right first, before even touching the tech. It feels like we’ve lost that focus with all the stack hype these days
@dennisbabych3 ай бұрын
True. We have to focus on Problem -> Idea -> Fast Development to do the test -> Tech Stack

So i come from a perspective rather then putting emphasis on stack, i think your comfortable stack will let you ship things faster, irrespective of the boilerplate.

Yes, if you know how to do that. But the boilerplate can be your time-saver

Hey Dennis, awesome video! Quick question - if you were building a small e-commerce app, would you stick with Vue, Python, or Laravel or go with something like Next.js & TS for that sweet full-stack experience? Appreciate your thoughts!
@dennisbabych3 ай бұрын
Depends on your app. Let's say if you need speed then go with Next.js & TS. If you need scalability then Vue, Python or Laravel.
