Awesome ideas Dennis. This problem has plagued me my entire adult life, so I'm going to have to take the "plunge" and employ one of these solutions. One time I spent almost a full half hour running around aimlessly at a mall parking lot frantically looking for my car and after an extensive anxiety attack, I finally remembered that I had someone drop me off.

That's too funny!! Reminds me when I had a 73 VOLKSWAGON BEETLE , I'm trying to go to work at White castle , and my key is not working to unlock the door. A man on his balcony came to my aid and decided we were going to have to break the window!!At that moment as I surveyed the car I realized it did not have the dents mine did!!

Seeing the WD 40 can reminded me of a shortcut housecleaning tip I saw once. The item suggested that you spray the inside of your toilet boil with WD 40 and you would never have to scrub your bowl again. Why do these zany things pop up in my head when I watch you? My wife and I came out of the mall one night looking for our car..... One lone car in this vast parking lot has a small light flashing from the tip of the radio antenna.... The guy was a genius because no matter where his car was, he could find it by looking for the little flashing light..... My wife said (seriously).... What a great idea, I think every car ought to have one of those flashing lights on the antenna....

I did that one time at Walmart and actually thought my brand new Buick LeSaber car had been stolen. A Walmart employee was even helping me look for it. Moments before calling the police, we found it parked at the opposite door. The Walmart, like most, had 2 entrances. I forgot which door I walked in! 😬I felt so foolish! Later I found out I could hit the horn button on my remote and the car will alert me by flashing the headlights and continuously honking. 🤗 After that I wrote on the top of my grocery list which door I entered, Pharmacy or Grocery, and the row #. 😂 Sometimes the Walmart have 3 doors. I know they are trying to mess with me though so I never go in that door, I'm trying keep it simple.

Wife decided to close the partially open hood of our rental car in Hawaii by doing a hop-up-in-the-air, land on hood with derriere. The next morning I noticed the derriere dimple (more like an inverted dumpling) on the hood but thought the culprit was perhaps a coconut that had fallen out of tree. Found out true story later. I found a plunger in the cottage where we were staying. Worked like a charm to suck the dent out. That's my car-plunger story. Coconut butt is how we refer to story at home : )

Hello Melinda’s Ex🤪, that happened to me couple of times and two incidents were worse. In first one my car wasn’t responding to the key function and i dropped my groceries on the ground and started using the old style keyholes. A lady came shouting and and called cops for trying to break in her car. It was same model and color. Second one i parked in a multi floor mall parking garage and forgot the floor number. Searched all 7 floors and took 2 hours to realize that i parked in in Level D on West Wing😛

Growing up in South Florida in the 60's and 70's, I remember Union 76 gas stations used to give out these little orange styrofoam balls with their logo on them. You were supposed to put them on your radio antenna so that you could find your car. But since everyone had one on their antenna, you could never find your car!

That happened to me at Walt Disney World in Florida. I had a rented car, and most of the cars were probably rented, and looked the same. I couldnt even remember if I parked in Goofy, or Mickey Mouse section. Thanks for the great idea Dennis, next holiday Ill bring a cougar and a gorilla with me.

When I notice a car following me to get my parking space, I walk real slow, and when I get to the end of the isle, I look around like I can't find my car, and then walk back up the isle again. I always wear sunglasses, so when I turn around I can see the driver's face when he realizes that he's wasted all that time at 1mph all the way up the lane. Once in a while, I'll walk about 3/4 the way up the lane, and then walk through several rows of cars to get to another lane. Drives people crazy.

I just give up and call a cab and come back when the place is closed. There are a few people arriving in cabs and very few cars left in the lot. One lady in a red-flowered muumuu looked all over the Walmart lot and finally realized her husband had dropped her off and was waiting for her at the bar across the street. She was so upset she got in her car and left him in the bar, she thought. He'd gotten so drunk waiting for her, he took a cab from the bar and was at home sleeping on the couch.

MY ADVICE IS BETTER: I generally just accept the time I spend walking in a parking lot as exercise. And consequently sometimes I don't even look for my car. I keep wandering until some nice person offers to drive me home. And then I routinely only have to deal with my wife, who for some reason things our car needs to be parked in our driveway.

I flew in to Miami from the United Kingdom to train some Spanish and Portuguese speakers on new computer software. The lady driving forgot where she parked the car. I asked her what colour it was and what make. She said it was a hire vehicle so she did not know. I got the make of the vehicle from the key in her pocket. Then we spent the next hour wandering the car park for a vehicle we had no idea what it looked like and only the driver spoke English. So not much was said as we went treasure hunting in silence for an hour.
