Thank you for your videos and inspiration. I also started with a DDJ-400 last year and now upgrading to a Prime 4. It will arrive in two weeks. First I wanted to buy the Prime 2 and then I thought that this will be an investigation for a longer time so should spend the extra 400 Euros. Can’t wait for it to arrive.

Great unit... you will love it and have lots of fun with it... it's the best choice you won't regret and i'm sure you will appreciate every features it has to offer. I made the move from a ddj-1000 to the prime 4. I had always been a pioneer fan but felt in love with the prime 4 with all its innovative features and its really the game changer.

Very well said mate. The features are ground breaking. 4 channel mixing from USB. Unreal, having so much fun learning the work flow and getting creative. Some cool new effects i havent used before too! Honestly, so happy I decided to get one 😁😁

Hop you enjoy the Prime 4. I've been using it for just over a year now. Its a great machine. A lot of haters of the engine software, but i think it works fine. Once u get used the the work flow its great. ONE BIG TIP !! be careful un mounting usb's and if you go down the internal drive route (defo a game changer in internal), be careful u don't just switch off machine before un mounting if connected to computer. I , and hundreds of other user's have ended up with corrupt data bases. Which means a lot of work , getting playlists, cue points etc back in place. I have over 30k tracks on my internal, so its all backed up to another drive and the database is backed up every time i use Engine (takes 30 seconds). Besides that , enjoy!..... o ye .... Soundcloud streaming coming in a new firmware update as well (i'm running that now) very nice with tidal. All bases covered

I've been preparing my first KZbin mix with it and learning all the work flow and features. The FX section was a little tricky to get sounding good but I'm starting to get some good use from it now. DJ Kiz Walsh it's a shame that I haven't taken it out, as the COVID-19 status have most activity closed. For the time restaurants and bars were allowed to operate, the gigs I got were in an oceanfront really small restaurant, so the P4 didn't fit, so I used (and love) the Prime Go

Just looking for some advice: Why did you not decide to go for the DDJ 1000?

The DDJ-1000 is no where near as poweful as the prime 4. Standalone 4 deck mixing, streaming capabilities, incredible build quality, 10 inch touch screen, ridiculous amount of inputs and outputs for professional use. I could go on and on about how the prime 4 is better, its not even really a competition. The DDJ-1000 is without a doubt the best controller on the market but it simply does not come close to the standalone units, especially the prime 4.

Be sure to update your prime 4 firmware so your can use tidal ect. Also get a SSD DRIVE IN THERE! Trust me you won’t regret it! Less things to forget! It’s excellent!!

DJ Kiz Walsh np. With that set up you will feel powerful. For samples I just bout a sampler and plugged it in to a spare channel and dropped my samples. Done!

Not a big fan of the design, i think this thing is mad ugly compared to a Pioneer SX2 but when i look at both prices & the features of the denon, i gotta think twice
