break-accelerating can give you up to a bit more than your max speed. Depends on the selected train. in burning stage you just have to do absolutely nothing when achieving a cirtain speed so that the game doesn't drag your speed dow nto your limits. it's sketchy but it get's fixed in Climax stage.
