Taking a bite registration is the second most important part of Denture construction (First is impressions). The information obtained from the patient creates the parameters for the Dentures to be made exact to the patient unique characteristics.
UPPER
It should be 22 mm high from the depth of the sulcus at the region of the canine eminence.
The anterior edge of the occlusal rim at the midline should be about 8-10 mm away from the incisive papilla.
It should be 4 to 6 mm wide in the anterior region
The occlusal table should be 10 to 12mm above the crest of the alveolar ridge in the anterior region.
The occlusal table should be 18mm high when measured from the depth of the sulcus in the posterior region.
The occlusal table should be 5 to 7 mm high when measured from the crest of the ridge in the posterior region.
The occlusal table should be 8 to 12 mm wide in the posterior region.
LOWER
It should be 6 to 8 mm high when measured from the crest of the ridge in the anterior region.
It should be 18 mm high when measured from the depth of the sulcus in the canine eminence region.
It should be 3 to 6 mm high when measured from the crest of the ridge in the posterior region.
The occlusal plane should flush to anterior two-third height of the retromolar pad in the posterior region.
The width of the occlusal table should be 4 to 6 mm in the anterior region and 8 to 12 mm in the posterior region.

☝🏻PEOPLE...PLEASE SEE A "PROSTHODONTIST" ONLY FOR REPLACING YOUR MISSING TEETH (IT'S WORTH IT AND YOU'LL THANK ME FOR THIS LATER)!!! 💁🏻‍♀️He's reducing the occlusal wax to make sure the occlusal planes are exact and cuts a "V" to align the wax bites chairside, usually at the 1st molar, according to what was submitted (I hope the dentist shared the EXACT head profile measurements, points of facial measurements, etc)...I've NEVER seen a "general dentist" OR "cosmetic dentist" properly map the dimensions of the face when providing dentures!!! ALL dentures ordered by either of these 2 types of dentists have legitimately failed no matter how good a dentist believes their preferred dental lab is👍🏻

nice, thanks for the video... in my case i have all my lowers but my uppers are nearly gone ( i make my own partials but have not made a full denture yet) it would be interesting to know how to mock up the upper plate against a full set of teeth on the articulator.. i think you said naturals ( original teeth --naturals ) can throw things off. denture up top plaster or stone cast below..
