Cementation protocol for indirect veneer: Surface treatment for veneer: - Hydrofluoric acid (for 1 minute for Empress CAD, and 20 seconds for e.max) - Phosphoric acid (optional, for thorough cleaning) - Silane - Bonding agent (optional, to increase wettability and provide better chemical bonding between the cement and ceramic) Surface treatment for the tooth structure: - Etching for 30 seconds (total etch) - Rinsing - Drying (chalky white appearance) - Application of the bonding agent with nylon brush - Holding the veneer with Optrastick - Apply the cement on the veneer - Seat the veneer - Remove excess cement - Tack curing for 2-3 seconds - Glycerin gel - Complete curing through glycerin gel Notes: - Preparation should be confined to enamel only - If there is caries, extend the preparation to sound tooth structure - Confirm marginal adaptaion before cementation - In case of multiple teeth, hold the veneers with putty index (mix base and catalyst and let it set)
