To date, it remains a theorethical concept. One of the major difficulties is to assure that no malignant tumor will be ignited by activatng certain genes to provoke an "unnatural" tooth formation. That means that even after they have figured out the exact algorithm, decades may pass until the procedure is fully tested and approved by the FDA to perform on humans.

Good info, but I can't believe how so many people can be so naive to think that the dental industry actually wants to help people get rid of dental problems for good. Some dentists certainly do want to, but *_NOT_** the **_industry!_* Any industry will go to great lengths to protect it's main sources of revenue. And the peerless health-related industries, who sit on top of the world, tend to do this through the use of various authoritative associations that typically they themselves both have created, and/or are funding, and either way control. This way they can exert influence and pressure on every major clinic and hospital, every dentist, doctor and medical worker, in the entire industrialized world - not to mention that the curricula of all the standard medical educations of every medical school of renown are actually controlled by the corporate boards of the industry, arbitrarily deciding the "gold standard" of the practice of medicine. They regularly and continuously fund and conduct heavily biased medical studies that are designed to, 1) find new ways to *make money,* not cure illnesses, 2) defend and promote confidence in their existing solutions, and 2) undermine and shut down opposing ideas and solutions. This way they create a protective wall of apparent credibility and then use that to exert pressure and influence. Several, if not most, major medical and scientific publishing journals are heavily controlled too, so if a scientist openly voices opinions that - no matter how strongly supported by reliable hard evidence - are in conflict with that of the established "consensus" (read dogmas), he/she can be effectively silenced by refusing to publish any of their work and they thus effectively cease to function as a professional researcher and publisher. These ruthless industries are the reason why there are practically only temporary solutions offered through the standard channels. All they want are band-aid solutions. The worst enemy of these industries is an approach almost completely (and purposefully) removed from the minds of medical workers called *finding the root cause* and dealing directly with that, which in turn leads to actually *CURING* an illness. By following this straightforward, practical and (the only) sensible approach, you can cure just about anything if you have the necessary knowledge and resources. But the very word *_"cure"_* is repugnant to them. *Why does anyone think doctors in general are strictly forbidden from and heavily punished for making claims of cures?* Is it to protect patients from the *potential **_harm_** of natural substances,* most of which have been used safely and successfully for several millennia? Any cure for anything will always be viciously attacked and promptly shut down if possible. History (for those who actually care to study it) has shown many times in the last 100+ years how this has been done to cures for virtually every major illness now plaguing the masses and fattening the cash cows of the industries. Fueled by greed and thirst for power and influence, the wheels of industry keep turning and the masses are crushed underneath. For the sake of the corporate boards of the industry and their friends, the general health of the human population readily is sacrificed. We pay the price and they reap all the limited benefits thereof.

I can't hardly wait until my dentist has the skill to do that. I have dentures, and I am about to bite the hook and go for full mouth implants. All on six on the upper arch, and same thing on the lower. It is so dam expensive, and it makes me angry that I have to pay my dentist almost 100k to have this done. I will be basically given him a brand new, top of the line Mercedes Bens, and think is just too much. Dental treatment in the USA is out of control. Same treatment, in Italy, Brasil, and Swiss, is a quarter of what he is asking me... Any suggestions, on what else I can do in order to lower this cost. Please DO NOT send me information on Mexican Dentistry.

@@ancaandreea9859 I went to a different MD/DMD today, and this one wants to split my upper arch, and in the middle of it, they want to do some kind of bone grafting, to enlarge the arch. from the third molar, all the way around to the other. Every one of them thinks different, It is like none of them are on the same boat. They don't agree with each other, and I am in the middle, thinking...what the f&^%$#@ is going on here. It is like, they are all on this fast lane, trying to see which one can add what, to increase the amount to charge you. So far, 3 of them, different dental offices, agreed that I have enough bone structure, or thickness to accommodate 6 implants on the top and 6 on the bottom. Another one agreed that the mandible arch has enough bone thickness, so there will be no need to bone grafting there. The other one agreed that the upper arch is good and can support 6 implants, but the arch below can not. Then, I went to two different dental schools here, and in one institution, the instructors agreed that both arches will need bone grafting, and the price at the dental school is almost the price of a private office. The other Dental School agreed that all I need is two implants on the top, and two on the bottom, and that the bones were strong enough to support all upper teeth (14 teeth on two implants above ) and 14 teeth on two implants below) no need of bone grafting. The price went down a little, but I just don't believe that it will work. And the last dentist, another private office, told that she could do something called mini-implants, that would work the same as your regular size implants, and the cost would be around 15k. I am so confused and so disgusted with them all... They have different ideas, no one seems to understand head and neck anatomy. I feel like I know more than them all...it is frustrating...PLUS, none will guarantee their work... It is all about money, and none want to take responsibility for their job...

Richard Andretti oh my God! It’s so difficult to Find an ethical dentist. Here where i live in europe i been searching for months! I also been through this and i was offered mini implants by others, but from what i heard they do not last as much as normal ones,at least this is what they said here. It’s a compromise solution. From what i know, anything shorter than 8 mm is considered mini implant and Thinner than 3 mm i think. But be careful in the molar sides they should not place the implant below than 1,5-2 mm of your alveolar nerve, as this Could damage it causing Numbness and bad pain for a while or Even permanent! I also, after the bone grafting surgery i had severe pain and Even from a cold Breeze my whole head was hurting. Now i feel a Little better but sometimes a Little numb. It means that the materials somehow injured a bit the nerve, but its recovering. I am so freaked out right now because i saw how teribile the pain can be if your nerve is injured and some people live with this for the rest of their life, taking medicines or getting used with the pain. I would better stick to dentures instead of feeling that pain. Its worse than the pain of giving birth i think and instead of living like that i better live with no teeth. Allways ask your dentist what they want to do in the lower molar sides and what distance is going to be between the implant and the nerve .
