Denver Broncos Get More Good News Heading Into OTA's

While the torn achilles of Drew Sanders is bumming a lot of people out, we get more and more good news about the Denver Broncos heading into OTA's- Sean Payton did not settle on Bo Nix, and that is now corroborated by SO many smart NFL players and coaches, Bill Belichick, Bill Simmons, Dez Bryant, RGIII, Phillip Rivers, and now Phil Simms and Chris Simms both break down why he's such a GREAT fit! Outside of the Center Position, you cannot find a single position on this Broncos squad that got WORSE from last year and that has me feeling that 7 wins is the floor for the Broncos this season. Am I crazy?!? Let me know!

Drew Sanders' injury is a bummer. However, I'm with you, Ben. We should be excited. I also agree with the guys about Nix. I'm excited for the all of the draft picks and roster additions. I think the Broncos will surprise teams this year. Nix will surprise the pundits.

You know how delusional that sounds. Your coach was clearly trying to trade up for JJ. It's awkward to listen to anyone suggest anything different. It doesn't mean Bo Nix isn't going to be good either he may be the next Brock Purdy for all we know which if so be thankful because your coach clearly was offering several picks for JJ.

I think it would be poetic justice after the 'miracle', if Bo ended up better than McCarthy, I mean everybody put Nix as a 3rd round prospect (at least), yet J.J had a smaller portfolio of work, yet because it was draft season he was jumping up boards because of the Harbaugh effect.

Any injury to a situational off ball LB is not a big deal. I do think we’re being slept on a little bit with a pretty pro-ready rookie QB, good draft overall, and those good cost-controlled signings. Gotta stop hyping up having a rich owner though…he’s not going out of pocket lol…more spending means increased efforts to recoup costs in ticket prices and a million other ways. True for practice facilities, new staff, & everything else.

Realistically we are looking at a 1 to 3 win season. I was surprised at some of the wins the Broncos pulled off last you against the best teams. But that was with Russell Wilson and not a rookie qb. We have had seen rookie qbs have success (other than the Broncos) in the nfl but they were surrounded by talent. I am not talking rookie talent from their college either i mean it nfl veteran talent. The power run game needs big guys up front and it seems we (Broncos) are going back to the power football type game because nfl defenses are designed to sack the qb and have all these little fast guys out there who cant tackle. Yeah i will love to see these "I can run really fast" guys get crushed! The Nfl with the rule changes have set the stage for power run football to spring to life.

We are not bothered because it’s fake news. JJ was a screen the entire time. He wanted Bo the entire time, even had Peyton Manning run interference and talk about JJ. We were never gonna use picks to trade up, they were hoping Bo would fall to them. Raiders were taking him right after us if we didn’t and everyone would be praising them. Broncos didnt “reach” and they got exactly who they wanted. Period.

I am on the side if you run towards me you should pay the price. Its was a choice if you want me to hit your best player or not. I care less how much you love your guy. Him running at me is taking money from me. Every pass completed every yard gained takes money out of my pocket! Sacks put money in my pocket! i am goint to make it as painful as i can to keep you in a place where i can sack you. That is what professional football is. Every yard you give up on defense is less money for you in the future. Offense gets paid with giving the least amount of effort.

The Vegas preseason line last year was 8.5 wins. I took the under and made money. This year, it’s 5.5. I would take the under again, but the Chiefs could be resting starters in the season finale. Of course, if Nix plays like CJ Stroud, we’ll win more. But the more likely outcome is that he struggles and we win 3-4 games. Our roster is just hollowed out and bad.

🙎 It's possible the Broncos will waste time confirming that they have, at most, three backup QBs. Stidham is a dead end. Zach Wilson is a reclamation project with upside but who may never develop into anything in the NFL. Nix has a low upside and could, at most, end up as a backup QB. 🙍 Tough days and years potentially await the Broncos 🐎 🍖
