Lifelong Ducks fan here. Bo Nix was the last QB I wanted when Dan Lanning took over. We had a kid named Ty Thompson who I thought deserved a chance. Two years later there were tears in my eyes after realizing Bo would never suit up for Oregon again. He’s special Broncos fans. It starts with his preparation and then his leadership and his ability to build relationships and then he has all the physical skills to be great at the toughest position in all of pro sports. As he did in green he looks damn cool in orange. Y’all got the most NFL ready of them all.

Thank you for the show. I am not easily impressed but Bo Nix impressed me today. In four drives he had two touchdowns and a field goal (if I did not get this wrong). His field goal was the culmination of a 41 second drive at the end of the first half. Then he started the second half with a long touchdown drive. After his start, he had no apparent nerves. Today, Nix was the best of the three QBs. I see absolutely no reason for him not to start vs Seattle. I have been a Boliever since they drafted him. His play today tells me he absolutely must be QB1. Stidham was steady but Bo showed a lot of flair. His command of the offense was impressive. Even Wilson showed some abilities but taking all the information from this game, Bo should be QB1, and I am not sure about QB2. I really liked the running game, and the o-line was good. Hell of a game. What I have seen from the kickoffs this week was the starting position is about the same as last season, between the 20 and the 30. I saw they started Sills V. I was a little surprised by that. The one concern from the game was the fumbles and the interception caused by the RB. They need to work on ball security.

At this point, fellas, I think that the Broncos are just trying to figure out who's going to be Bo's backup. I was not real impressed with the lack of sacks, but I loved how we stopped the run. All in all, I think that as good as I've felt in the past, only to be disappointed, we have real hope. I'm not impressed, at this point, with the defense. Man, imagine having a top 10 defense a and a top 10 offense... I don't think that's out of the realm of possibles. I am only thinking that Bo is going to get better and better, and if that's the case, we should be back in the playoffs on a regular basis. I'm stoked! Much love Broncos Country! Such a young and inexperienced roster, but very fun to see a somewhat dynamic offense with some balance. Once Russ is off the books, another draft or two with premium picks, further continuity in coaching staff, supportive, patient ownership, and hopefully a few of these young players emerging as studs, the future finally holds some real hope for Broncos Country.

It’s time give him the reins ! The team and first team respond to him no question ….. WR ‘s need to go get the ball and catch it when they do ! Run the right routes ! And RB ‘s need to protect the pig period ! And this offense is on the way penalty’s and defensive coaching needs immediate attention ! …. Still VJ needs to go !

I'm really glad Bo's first throw in an NFL game was not an Interception, the guy dropped it thankfully or the narrative might be a little different. Otherwise, I loved what I saw and I think he really did look decent for our Rookie QB. Loved the TD to Mimms and he did find Sutton when he needed him in the beginning. He made Stidham look like the backup and Wilson still looks like a third string qb to me. Nice start team. Cheers ty for the content.

The run game looked really good, Nix was right where he needs to be. Reynolds should have come up with that catch in the corner too.ball security was an issue and I was not super impressed with the defense. Did ok against the run but they gave up way too many big plays and zero pressure on the QB. Good start but a long way to go. It's a win though so just keep stacking days fellas, gonna be a good year!!!
@MarkLewis-l3f2 ай бұрын
Nix did not complete a single pass past the sticks in the middle of the field in this game. The two that he did complete further than that were to the sidelines. Most of his passes were dump offs, screens, & short swing passes to backs or TEs at or just past the LOS or they were sideline tosses. Of the 3 that he did throw in the middle of the field that were thrown past the first down marker, one hit the Colts CB in the stomach & should have been picked. The second was thrown while he was off balance & throwing off platform for no real reason. It landed on the turf in front of the receiver. The third was thrown well behind the receiver & also landed short of it's intended target. More worrisome from what I saw was the fact that he also took off twice & ran when he had a clearly open receiver close enough for him to easily see him if he were going through his reads quickly as we have been lead to believe he can. On at leas tone of those, it's obvious that he didn't see him because he never turned his head. What I saw instead was a tendency to run or dance in the pocket when his first read didn't immediately come open. He threw off platform multiple times without any pressure on him. These are basically the same things people were down on Russell Wilson for doing. Obviously he's a rookie in his first game so nobody should freak out about any of this. That said...you're claiming he's going to be ready in 2 weeks to start. I don't see that as a viable option based on what I observed today. How much better will he get in 2 weeks? He was playing with his starters today going against the Colts 2nd unit defense for the most part. He also benefited from a couple of egregious PI calls against the same colts DB, which helped him immensely. Nobody should ever look at the first preseason game & decide that a rookie QB should start based on that game, even if he had a very impressive one. This was not that impressive. It was about what I expected form a rookie QB who needs some time to learn. Mahomes & Brees needed that. So does Nix IMO.

I watched DNVR's after game. Zach for DNVR saw what we all saw.Bo Nix operated the offense cleanly and proved just how elusive and pocket aware he is!! His gameplay was absolutely exciting!! The whole point of Sean Payton's offense is to run the ball, move the ball consistently, and eventually take shots down the field ! I don't think people understand that there's a clock involved in these games and you want to consume as much clock as possible! Anyway I'm not sure what his name was on dnvr but he made the most ridiculous claim I've heard! He said out loud that Sean Payton basically had to implement Oregon's Playbook for Bo and then used the real Playbook for Stidham!! What do you guys think? @@chrisl3545Payton loves Burton, so he may make the team with Atkins and Badie both going to the practice squad, but I agree with your thinking and reasoning completely because Atkins looked awesome today. Hopefully, they'll start him next week to see how he fares against the Packers first team defense. Fortunately, they'll get an extended audition this week with the joint practice sessions.
