It's afforadbale if you have a good career and don't work in fast food or do hard labor. I lived in both Reno, Austin, and Portland. Denver is like living in Reno and Portland and it really wasn't all that different in housing etc. I could afford Reno easily but hated seeing my hard earned money go down the drain lol. Austin on the other hand is much more expensive and is outrageous to say it's located in Texas.

@Jay-bh2sk: I also grew up in Denver and loved it. Did I get bored at times, yes, but I also lived in Los Angeles for half of my life and I got bored there too sometimes. My boredom grew out of times when I wasn't always able to do what I wanted to do because of finances, or other life obligations, but if you didn't find any fun times in Denver, then I would have to say that is on you. People who aren't living the life that they dream of oftentimes blame it on the city where they live. They never really assess what the real problem is because it's just to easy to blame it on their surroundings.
