What is wrong with people. Make your own coffee at home. No, y'all rather buy it for 10 Bucks. Then y'all will be 1st in line to complain that y'all can't pay your bills.

work as barista but want income as much as doctor or engineer. Let them strike, find another worker. Let their union take care of them! the union take too much portion of their income anyways

if you want living wage get a career, not a job that anyone can do after two weeks training

CEO makes 100 million. That's called greed. It's not like the company can't afford to pay better they just choose not to. People like you complain that others don't want to work, yet when people do work, you belittle the job because it isn't a "career." Get off your high horse.

@nwhite3080 What hospitals would that be? Most hospitals are non-profit entities. You are over your head and obviously have no idea what you are talking about. Health Insurance and Pharmaceutical companies are the largest organization with profits in healthcare, which has nothing to do with the CEO of a coffee chain making 100 million a year.

@@jcarle1001you're a moron. You support those workers then you pay them. No where does it say that just because a CEO makes a million he's obligated to pay more. It's his business he can pay whatever he wants don't like it find another job

@@jcarle1001 oh gee, do you have any idea what market value is? there ain't many people that are bale to run a billion dollar company with profit, and the said companies are willing to pay for such talent. Mean while, if your job is replaceable by a John Doe off the street at any given moment, you should be glad that you get above minimum wage moron.

Stop crying. It's a low skill job, period. You aren't behind the scenes looking at their books to know their margins. Even if the margins are high, baristas put in zero risk. They're replaceable practically with a day's notice and get paid accordingly

"I'm with them 110% for being robbed of all their things; outside of the salary. To demand being paid close to $25 an hour...for making coffee and deserts, is ASSININE at best😂🤦🏾‍♂ Between the tipping gripe and low-level workers demanding pay that mid-level workers HAVE earned and are QUALIFIED for...is getting annoying and way out of control in the US, for real!"😤

That's okay you're going to be replaced with cheap labor anyway. With that open border we got going on. Just keep pushing yourself at a job one way or the other. If not it's going to be done through automation.

These people are not in their right minds at all, contract work is not a good thing. If you try to just quit and walk away while under contract, there will be penalties whereas quitting without a contract doesn't. Contracts are legally binding. They may think being under a contract will do them good but will only do them harm eventually.

Who cares? We are celebrating our Christmas with family and friends drinking coffee we made at home. We suggest you do the same. ✌️🙏❤️😊 Edited: If they have been shorted wages earned or benefits, I completely understand and think this should be addressed with the Union that represents them and hire lawyers. If it is merely seeking wage increases, you are SOL IMO at this point because you haven't organized well and you are starting to look like street peddlers 😳 go home for the holiday. Celebrate the new year coming as intended and we "may" actually see you in the coming year. I have a feeling the phrase "Out with Old," in with the new", will take on a whole new meaning in 2025. Good luck.

This is a loosing battle. Just get a better job and move on coffee baristaing isn’t a career. It’s a starting job for new people entering the work force. Get out of your comfort zones and work for the money. I’ve been blue collar most of my working years. Been blessed with a home, vehicles, marriage and divorce. I never would have afforded that making coffee.
