Burks looks good in all 3 aspects of DB coverage, run support and ball skills. Ohio State going to be fun to watch this year.

Growing up in Arizona, I had the unique experience of crossing paths with someone destined for greatness: Denzel Burke. Before the world knew his name, before Ohio State or the NFL spotlight (in the future), I saw him in action when we were just kids. Back in middle school, I played against his team in a flag football game. We were up big, feeling confident-until Denzel took over. He was a force of nature, playing both offense and defense, dominating in a way I’d never seen before. He was breaking up passes, intercepting the ball, and then outrunning everyone on the field, scoring touchdown after touchdown. We were left speechless. Right then, we all knew-this guy was different, special. We said he was going to make it to the NFL. Sometimes, talent is just undeniable, and Denzel had it in abundance. What struck me the most wasn’t that he was a 4-star recruit-not even a 5-star, mind you-but how clear it was that he had everything it took to be a professional long before the accolades came in. He was relentless, focused, and simply on another level. As for me, I didn’t continue with sports after middle school. I wasn’t athletic enough, tall enough-excuses, I know. But looking back, I realize how important it is to recognize greatness, even in those early stages. Even though my path didn’t lead me to the field, I carry that memory as a reminder: sometimes, you’re fortunate enough to witness greatness before the rest of the world does. I knew Denzel Burke before he became the star. I saw him play when very few were watching. That’s a claim I’ll always hold onto-and it’s a powerful reminder that greatness, in whatever form, can show up in the most unexpected moments. So, keep your eyes open, because you never know when you’ll witness something extraordinary.
