Ok so I want to start playing football. Im a freshman in college at UNLV so by no means a good school football wise. I’m absolutely tiny, sitting at 5’8 130 lbs. I want to play cornerback, but regardless of whether or not I have the athletic ability, I want to at least try to have the knowledge for the position. How do I go about studying different coverage types and what they’re called? Any advice?

You're extremely undersized to play football. But by no means don't let me discourage you . As far as your question, just look up cornerback fundamentals on KZbin and Google and there should be plenty of resources for you to study . Enough to at least get a good understanding of what you need to aim for. Best of luck to you and I hope you achieve what you persue !!

I used to play WR and CB. One of the best training drills I would do and my favorite would be to have someone as fast as you or close to you and just have him try get away from you . Almost like a police in hot persuit type of thing and try to stick to him as close as possible . It really helped me getting better in man coverage greatly. I know it sounds kind of dumb by it really helped me . Give it a try . Another is to switch to being the WR trying to beat the corner . The more you have an idea of what you could do to beat a corner , the better off you'll be at anticipating what receivers will try to pull off on you. Best of luck in your endeavors.

I would love to see the browns trade up this upcoming draft to pickup greedy Williams should he fall down to around the 10 spot. That browns defence would be killer with Ward and greedy on the islands with Garrett attacking the QB . They'd be able to stack the box with man coverage with 2 lock down corners with single high safety. But they'd have to give up a fair amount of compensation to move up in the draft to nab greedy should he fall to a reachable pick. I'd say at least a 2nd and a 4th to move up to the 10 spot . if he's still there, I'm definitely pulling the trigger!!
