I can only imagine how deflating that is. Thank you for being candid and sharing with us all.

Thanks Kip. Im going to sleep better. On the good side now I can underlap the bracket to the nose root rib. I think I have a better way to do it on the left wing so it doesn't happen a again.😬

I’m going to wait and do mine after you show us all how on the left wing. 😂

I know it is going to be costly for the new spar, but the peace of mind in the middle of the night worrying if the old spar was weakened by those extra holes will be worth the money. i did something similar on the H stab spar drilled some holes in the wrong spot and they told me how to put braces in it but i just took it all apart and bought a new spar for the peace of mind

I talked to a good friend last night that designs airplane parts and he said that the strength in the angles in the spar is the vertical part of the angle. Cool. Im still going to sleep better. Ha .You do right! All part of the Journey . Thanks for Watching and your time.

Couldn't you have just ordered a new angel and drilled and riveted it yourself? Or bought an angle locally and installed it in its place and not needed to pay the crating and shipping? I needed to replace an angle in the frame and as the shape was a little different I called and was told I could replace the angle with the same material. Good luck.

hello! your construction is very cool! I'm going to build a home cockpit for the CH 750 Cruzer I fly in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, could you please share the panel measurements, length and width, or complete drawing, I'll use 6 mm MDF. Thank you for any help!

Sound like a great project . sorry I can't download pics on here. here's the dimensions. 960mm X 280mm and from the center out it starts to turn down at 170mm and half way between that measurement to the bottom is about 400mm. GOOD luck on your project, hope this helps and Thanks for Watching.

Why couldn't you put clecos in the spar when attaching the skins? If it were me I would put clecos in every other hole in the line of rivets in the spar before you put any in the ribs. NO NEED FOR TAPE. That should solve the problem of hole not aligning in the spar. Looking good, thanks for putting your project on here.

Thanks for watching. I’m working on the left skin now and I don’t know if you noticed but in it, I said that the nose skin has no holes and I thought you were supposed to drill down through the bottom skin and the nose skin into the spar all at once, the plan now is to Cleco it all up except for the spar and match drill, the nose skins to the bottom skins and use those holes to Cleo to the spa before upsizing. Thank you for your comment. It’s much appreciated.

@DennisZylstra Yeah, I missed that part about the nose skin. That is strange that they would leave those out. Do they at least put that step in the manual.? Good to be aware of that , I am thinking about building one of these down the road. Thanks again
