I've always liked Jiwon's voice, it's very unique. Everyone in Spica was an extremely good vocalist, so she didn't stand out as much at least vocally. She proved in this performance she can even do the other parts of the song. Best audition I've seen so far.

Alex Hopkinz Yeah because Spica's members are all beast at singing but they overpowered her. Her voice is pure, clean and really mellow so singing solo really works for her, and I'm glad she did this because I felt so bad for their disbandment.

Only intro of Tonight and I am crying already. The song has a bittersweet backstory for Spica. Spica has a lot of potentials I agree with a lot of people. But yea it feels like there's something missing - whatever that is. It is difficult as a fan to see them fading before they even rise. Jiwon is not considered the best vocal in Spica. She (and Sihyun) was added to be the visual. But over years they have shown a lot of improvement. I am pleased to see Jiwon trying again -yet nervous at the same time. In spite of heartbreaking this is to see her on stage like this on her own, I am proud of her. It is not easy to be there when you faced "failure" numerous times and people know that about you (debuting in T-ara, left, seeing them successful, almost debuting in Five Girls, debuting in one of the best girlgroups in terms of vocal and harmonisation, disbanded because of losing momentum). It is also not easy to pursue that dream when you are older than most of the other hopeful candidate there. I am super proud of her. I hope she will gain more confidence and learn a lot from this program. What's a superboot anyway? Everyone in a room picked her?

Chloe Chau oh sorry im not really sure. I only know that they did have comeback after 'tonight' but maybe the song after that does not well received. Like jiwon said in tonight episode, they actually compete with aoa but then while aoa get more successful, spica just going downhill.

Chloe Chau their contract ended. The company did not offer renewal as far as I know. Tonight and You Don't Love Me were actually the steps to the right direction for Spica. But then their company B2M had some financial situation which resulted in Spica and Eric Nam being co-managed with CJEM (if I am not mistaken). It took very long for them to release another music despite comeback promises made several time. When you lose momentum in K-pop, things get tricky. A lot of idol groups -most of whom are younger than Spica- debuted, and Spica kinda lost the momentum to build success from their previous comeback.

TONIGHT IS ONE OF MY TOP 5 FAV KPOP SONGS EVER and my fav by SPICA from the whole boho chic concept to the song. Its soo sad that Spica never made it with 5 talented members. Its sad that they were on track of making it when they cameback with You Dont Love Me and even were nominated on music shows for #1 with AOA but Miniskirt was more popular and overshadowed them. Then taking a long ass break pretty much destroyed all the momentum they had. Sad they disbanded

I actually cried the first time I heard the song back then. For me it is such a bittersweet song but yes it has a hopeful message. I remember the time they were on a show with Lee Hyori and how desperate they were for a chance to learn from her and be more successful. And then I cried again hearing Jiwon singing this song here.

(평균나이 25.6) 즉 두팀의 평균 나이가 4살이 차이나니까 20대들한테는 결코 적은 차이가 아니었죠. 게다가 스피카 같은 경우는 멤버들마다 방송에 노출된 데뷔전 경력이 좀 많았어가지고 (투애니원 데뷔조, 티아라 데뷔조, 인피니트 보컬코치, 슈퍼스타케이 참가자) 이미지 소비가 좀 있었고 약간 팀자체가 좀 지친? 그런 느낌이 좀 있긴 했던... 저는 참고로 둘다 팬입니다! 개인적으로 마마무랑 스피카를 비교하는 게 좀 잘못된 선상에 있다는 생각을 늘 하는데 (두 팀이 전혀 달라서.. 그리고 실력으로 뜨고 말고를 비교하기엔 마마무가 본격적 인기를 얻기 시작한게 오히려 실력파 레트로를 버린 아이돌적 이미지부터였고, 오히려 인과관계가 반대로 돼서 뜨고 나서 실력을 많은 사람들한테 보여줄 기회를 얻지않았나 싶네요) 우리나라 아이돌중 얼마나 실력파가 없으면 단순히 '멤버 전원이 실력이 좋았다' 라는 이유만으로 컨셉도 분위기도 인기요소도 전혀 다른 두 팀이 늘 묶여 언급되는지 싶기도... 해요. ㅋㅋ (마마무 인기 요소 : 멤버들간의 합+비글미, 친근한 친구같은 아이돌 / 스피카(미약하지만 어쨌든) 인기요소 : 길쭉길쭉한 비주얼, 어딘가 좀 찌글한 구석이 있는 언니들같은 느낌) 세대별로 실력파 아이돌이라고 꼽히는 게 늘 한 팀 뿐이니 ㅋㅋㅋ.. 천상지희, 브아걸, 스피카, 마마무 ... 쓰다보니 좀 길어졌네요 둘 다 좋아하는 (그리고 스피카가 팬덤이 걍 한줌단이라 실력으로 누가 비교하면 무무들한테 늘 뚜까맞는게 슬픈) 맘 , 슾 타쿠로서 주절주절 해봤음다....

did she ever become a rapper in Spica? Spica always has Sihyun and Boa as main and lead rapper respectively. Jiwon was the so-called "visual" in the group. She (and Sihyun) proved to the company that they were more than just pretty faces.

스피카 아 뭔가 운도 안따르고 안타까웠음 첫 데뷔곡 독하게 뮤비에는 이효리도 나오고 이효리가 소속 되어있는 곳에서 앨범나와서 화제였는데 데뷔무대 하는날 같이 데뷔한 신인이 에일리였음. 그 날 첫방은 내가 못봤고 어머니는 봤는데 어머니한테 노래 잘하는 그룹 하나 나왔지? 물어보니 그건 모르겠고 노래 잘하는 여자 솔로한명 있더라 라는 반응이었음 그때 스포트라이트는 에일리가 다 받았고 그 뒤로 낸 앨범들은 스피카 매력못찾는 곡들이었고 다음해에 이효리랑 방송하고 낸 투나잇 유돈노미.. 유돈노미는 인기가요 1위후보도 오르고(당시 1위가 aoa짧은치마) 이제 반응좀 오나 했는데 갑분 미국행.. 그 뒤로 잊혀짐.. 그리고 양지원은 여기 나오고 보컬 두명은 듀엣하는거 같던데.. 여러모로 안타까움

Not a fan of SPICA but she really amazed me with this performance. Its a performance of an ARTIST. You can see that she’s very confident and she’s owning the stage. You can also see how experienced she is on stage. I definitely love her stage presence!
