1991 I lived in a small town in Brazil. No decent radio. No music stores. No internet. Terrible local TV. But one night it was raining, I was 12 and home alone. A channel was playing the 101 Rose Bowl show. I never had a clue that such coolness was possible. I was enthralled. The music. The band. The crowd. I managed to grab a K7 with the singles some months later. It was so different and exciting, it was difficult to have access to these materials. Depeche made history, one of the coolest bands ever. I was "recruited" into the DM fandom back in 1984, as a 10-year-old. My older bro was in his room playing some really synth-heavy music that he borrowed from the neighbor down the street. I asked about it, and he played "People are People"and "Everything Counts " for me. Forty years later, I've seen the band twice: once in San Diego and once at the Coachella Music & Arts Festival. Depeche Mode was the soundtrack of my high school years. Most of the long-term friendships I have with people, were formed because of a mutual love of the band. We listen to most of their songs with a similar reverence to the kind that religious people have for worship music and hymns. I mourned the recent death of Andy Fletcher like I would the passing of a family member. Long live the music of Depeche Mode.

How it is possible to write after 40 years another top song like this? Amazing.

The new album is maybe one of their best. And, honestly, I don't automatically say that just because a fave band releases a new album after awhile. Something about this album is hypnotic. I put it on my running play list.

Zasto su tako dobri svih ovih 40 i nesto godina zato sto bend koji niko nemoze kopirati ili zameniti jednostavno to su oni jedinstveni i neponovljivi... 🌹🤴🤴🤴🤴🤴🤴

BRAVO 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 👏🏼 This is literally the best "new" song you've put out seriously! It sounds so much like the older stuff that it's ridiculous. Just saw you guys live a few months back.....you're like a fine wine 🍷 you just get better with age. I love you guys & always will you are the soundtrack to my life. Forgive me I'm overdosing on Nostalgia here.❤👑🎶

In 140 days I will be 50 years old. I have always listened to music and I will continue to listen to it, but this is the only band that has accompanied me since I was 15 and it will remain so until the end of my life or theirs.

Fletch forever, Depeche Mode forever. This group has been a major part of the soundtrack of my life, from lonely adolescents, lovelorn, heartbroken adulthood, to finding peace in myself and my life.
