The people hate this album? Maybe they only like electronic/pop music, and Depeche Mode is much more than that. Every Depeche Mode album is awesome. I think they are in their best moment now.

Easily the best song on the album, with the exception of Ghost, which is only on the bonus deluxe CD. I can't understand why that song, which is epic, didn't make the regular album.

It's not about hate, it's fair to say this is Depeche's weakest offering, the banal album cover and its title to start with... The good thing about DM these days is they will continue to provoke curiosity to give each next (new) album of theirs a listen... In case of "Sounds Of The Universe", the ingredients are ok but the outcome is one truly uninspired, mediocre album... "Ghost" - which, ironically, even isn't on the album - is the best song from these sessions...
