She silently went away and took her own life in the midst of norwegian nature 09.09.23. Since she was a big Bowie-fan, Absolute Beginners or Heroes would have suited well. Years ago she had drawn that avatar I am using here. I will miss her to the end of my days.😭

+johnnysocco67 Your comment brought a smile to my face even in the shared sadness. Somehow I can just see Bowie up there saying, "Ya see, there's this guy, n' 'e wants me to say 'e's sorry, I'm not quite sure what e's going on about but I figured you're the boss eh?"

+MakeThingsRight Also a shout out to the smiling couple in green in the 2nd row - I had as much fun watching you guys bouncing in your seats as I did Bowie; your joy is infectious. Hugs to you both in this sad time.

Love how he smiles so much while singing through this, the love shines through. That bounce of his fist at 2:55 in rhythm also reflect his enthusiasm for this song. Always been one of my personal favorites. Garson always brings so much to the table with his ivory skills. Such a great piece. Leaves me smiling, that's all I really need.

What a band this was.🔥 Garson's piano and Earl Slick's guitar elevate this way beyond the studio version IMO. The more I listen, the more it becomes apparent how great a song this is. In a period where his work was at its most patchy, he comes up with something beautiful and very moving.❤️

"AS LONG AS WE ARE TOGETHER AND THE REST CAN GO TO HELL." One of the most romantic yet rebellious lyrics of all. I listened to it since my childhood but never understood the meaning of it. Today I just looked at the words and suddenly I cried.

I cry when I think of David, Freddie , George Michael, etc etc. Miss them so much 😥

I'm lucky enough to be old enough to witness the many faces of David. Would loved to have been there witnessing that masterpiece unlike it seems an audience of zombies. Thank you David for the years of pleasure you've given me. Sleep well.
