I true story: I was born in Basildon, Essex 1978, born & bred in an area called Vange. Across the road from where I lived was a church and my mum & dad used to carry me there as a baby. Слушаю Depeche Mode осознанно с 1994-го, до этого нравились некоторые клипы, которые после развала совка по ТВ показывали. В 2010 была на концерте у нас во Дворце Спорта в Киеве, а в 2017 пошла уже на Олимпийский стадион с сыном, которому было 12. Теперь и он их фан. Дома книги, пластинки, плакаты с ними на стене. Это уже навсегда ))

So young and so amazing. At the concerts loved every song by them. Beautiful melody, lyrics and what a talented group Depeche Mode are. We used to love them so much. Blake F Well they make these amazing song & they can't be at the top of their game 24/7. Bound to be sick or shitty equipment. All it takes is one bad show for people to be like "wow he sounded better last time he was here, I'll go listen to The Police instead." So record promotion shows like this one were recorded. Concerts were 90% live. Some bands did & still do lip sync. Although in concert it's extremely frowned upon & puts most people off of that band. Acceptable for back tracks of a lead singer that can't do more than one voice at a time in concert but does so on the record.

That's the 80s for you. Playback was in vogue and also many TV stations didn't have access to great sound equipment. Odds are they could have sounded really bad if they'd played live. Weird imperfections tend to come out and take over. It's not uncommon that singers sound like they're singing off-key when singing live on TV programmes back then.

And when you're 15 and you hear such music, voice, you get some vibe and emotions that you have never before and remember them for the rest of your life. And none of new bands are able to give you that emotions, because,,, because this is like first sex, it's only once in your life and it's unique no matter that there are billion of better lovers around

Love this tune from DM. Reminds me of my youth, me and my girlfriend used to play this all the time back in the 80s. Extremely emotional for me as she shortly after committed suicide but this song brings back fond memories of our time together.
