yes Martin writes all the lyrics but it was most likely Alan Wilder that had the biggest musical impact.

Wilder & Gore were such a extraordinary society , but after all, Gore is the biggest genius. When Wilder left the band, Depeche keep making great and beautyful songs, but, sincerely, Wilder single career is not so interesting.

@@mendozamendoza9836 Nah depeche mode’s songs after Wilder is decent but nothing at the levels of when Wilder was there. Wilder brings epic atmospheric music to the table. Also Wilder choses not to be active or in bands. He is a freelancer and has his priorities in his family. He’s happy with his family and already made so much money in his years at DM. That’s all anyone can ask for.

​@@DxModel219 Ultra and Playing the Angel are great albums for me, anyway, is normal that a band goes into decline after his best moment of artistic quality, also, is inusual that a band keep doing good songs after many time. Wilder has tried to make his own career but he didn´t have sucess and for me, is not a good material.
