In 14 days I will be 50 years old. I have been listening to DM for 30 years. I don't speak English, so I have to put all the songs into the translator. I've never been to a concert either. Then there were attempts to find records. It is simply impossible to buy officially in the center of Siberia. All that the boy has is just the name of the group on a notebook sheet with colorful pens and waiting for the next New Year, and suddenly they will show! @filmfan9793 the cure will never be on the same level. Their live performances are horrible. I like the cure but will never think they are on the same level. Not even on the same level as The Smiths. Robert Smith just yells into the mic. I actually walked out of the first Cure concert I went to very disappointed. Have never wanted to go see them again. I have been to 6 DM concerts and the sound is perfect, performance is on point, and the music will never disappoint. They are truly delivering the whole package to the fans.

I have to say that of all the bands I’ve seen live , Depeche Mode were the greatest . The energy coming off the stage was incredible. They work so hard, and God knows how Dave Gahan keeps that up night after night. A truly amazing band , who give every single fan in the audience their money’s worth and much more. Legendary indeed.

I am so happy to see they are carrying on! Depeche has been my favorite band since....what seems like forever. They transition and change so well -- they have been a significant mouthpiece for things I may be experiencing or feeling. I see some of their earliest videos and think "we were all such kids back then", but deep down, we are still the same. Same hopes, fears, a sense of belonging. Depeche Mode makes you feel like you're a member of some special group of outsiders that works because we operate on more extreme wavelengths. God bless you guys!! And RIP, Fletch. I love seeing all the vintage equipment in Martin's studio! Something Dave said there really struck a cord with me, how songs effect differently depending on where you are in life...songs that helped me get through things (there's so much understanding there in some) can also be songs that I just enjoy listening to. I am listening to “Enjoy the silence” on a daily basis lately. I was just a boy when that song came out, I am now 37 years old and I really relate to the lyrics now. When I was 6 years old or something, I just thought it was some weird guy walking around by himself. Now I actually understand what the song is about and it’s one of my all time favorites.

Their music has been with me through my whole life since as a teenage boy of perhaps 14 I discovered and listened to Speak &Spell. It really hit with the next albums and as my life changed their music and lyrics changed and these processes of transition somehow corresponded to it. I sometimes wonder how my life would have been without their music . Have they ever realised how much good they bring info people's lifes? I visited Depeche Mode concert in Kyiv in 2013 during their Delta Machine tour, and it was one of the most memorable moments in my life. THE MAIN THINGS FROM THE PRESS CONFERENCE (Taken from the “Depeche Mode Channel” in Telegram) 1) Fletch will not be replaced, there is no reason for this - Gahan 2) The album title is not related to Fletch, it was invented before his death, like all the songs 3) The loss of Fletch was very hard for us - Gore 4) Gore wrote the most songs again 5) Fletch's death brought me (Martin) and Dave closer together 6) The recording of the album began in July and is still not finished 7) Dave and Martin are working with Peter and Christian, but they will NOT BECOME part of the band 8) Alan Wilder is also not returning 9) The band will remember Fletch during concerts. 10) The tour will take place from March 23 to the end of August, will begin in North America, California 11) The band is not going to come to Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus yet. 12) Everything we do and see is different in our eyes after the death of Fletch - Gore 13) All the work is carried out in Martin's studio in Santa Barbara and in Rick Rubin's studio 14) The album will be released before the end of March 2023 (it is quite possible that this will happen on the day of the first concert, that is, March 23) 15) The producer is James Ford again 16) The design of the new era of Depeche Mode will again be developed by Anton Corbijn

Never been much of a fan of Depeche Mode. I remember New Life and it never got me...Partner loves them. So out of kindness took her to watch them on Wednesday and prepped myself by downloading setlist.. Now realise I have been wrong the past 40 odd years. The music is simply out of this world and the concert on Wednesday was as good (probably better) than any I recall being at..The musicianship, songs, showmanship first class. To add Happy Birthday (Charlie!) shows what a thoroughly nice bunch they are too. Brilliant.
