Im 46, Depeche Mode is my all time favorite band. I've literally listened to them my whole entire life. Martin Gore who sings this song is an amazing song writer, singer, keyboardist and guitarist. Dave Gahan is the lead singer of most songs, he has a great deep baritone voice and is one of the best frontmen of any group. Alan Wilder, who is the most musically talented of the group, is a classically trained pianist who composed most of this bands amazing music. And Andrew Fletcher was the keyboardist and one of the founding members. All though they are down to only two members, Alan left in the 90's and Andrew died last year, Depeche Mode is still going and just released an album a month ago. But to me their golden era are the albums released between 1984 - 2009. Try and listen to them all especially Songs of Faith and Devotion ,Violater, Music for the Masses and Black Celebration. Those 4 albums are masterpieces!!!

Depeche Mode has their own sound - hats off to them for taking the late 80's new wave vibe, evolving into this alt/rock/early electronica 90s band who made so many great tracks and a few classics as well.

Love that reaction. It’s always been my least favourite song on Violator but that still makes it a great song. I love the way you describe it and I can’t think of a better way! Definitely Depeche Mode being Depeche Mode. It’s site on the album between World In My Eyes and Personal Jesus right at the beginning. Insane!

I've grown to really like this track over time, it wasn't instant for me. The inter-laced vocals at the end are such a nice effect, during the gaps of the chorus: "Nothing can stop me / Takes me completely / Touches so sweetly / Reaches so deeply", repeat, repeat. A love song Martin wrote to his drug of choice. "Blue Dress" is the final song from the Violator album you haven't reacted to yet - another Martin vocal, great ballad. Recommend you give this a shot next.

I think with this track you have now reacted to the entire Violator album. If u did Blue Dress that is. You already did all the songs from songs of faith and devotion. Group them all into a folder when u accomplish that :) Would make it easier for people to see more
