Depersonalization Setbacks
In this video I am explaining the real meaning of “good and bad days” in derealization/depersonalization state. It is a very common question: “how does it feel to have a better day if you are constantly anxious?” or “does it mean that nothing works if i only have bad days?”
All the information here is given according to my personal experience of an ex anxiety/dp/dr sufferer, who achieved full recovery years ago.

I have been in dp dr for 9 months now. At my worst im dreamy, foggy, and severely anxious. On good days no fog, dreamy, but still stuck behind my eyes and 0 short term memory like i dont remember even 2 seconds ago.

Very grateful for this channel. I am 100% confident I will recover and seeing these videos helps reinforce that belief. In a sense I feel “recovered” is making up your mind that you will get through it, even if there are some really bad days along the way.

Joshua, i feel so great when i see comments like yours!!! With this mindset you can recover and you will! I am trying my best to let everyone know that it is totally reversible. My case was so bad and i hardly had any explanation to my experience, but i am out after a long journey of reading, researching and trying to sort everything out, now i’m sharing my story, advices and all the tips to make your way out easier, smoother and less painful. У вас есть эмоции по отношению к важным событиям в прошлом, ностальгия? Просто у меня сейчас есть лишь воспоминания, но даже самые важные из них никаких эмоций не вызывают почти

У меня сейчас? Конечно есть, у меня весь спектр эмоций, их очень много и я абсолютно довольна и счастлива. То, что сейчас у вас нет эмоций-это классический симптом.

I remember when I used to be scared of going out anywhere and I used to shut the blinds and hide in cars. Now I am able to do the opposite. One time I went to the airport and I had a huge panic attack and felt everything I tried to improve has gone back to the first step. Now I realize that I should have take it as a very bad day. Or bad week. When I came back from my destination I did not have a panic attack and should have just counted my panic attack as a bad week.

Hey there! How do you tell how recovered are you? So for me, I don't know if I am dpdred or not anymore! I don't have most of the symptoms, but what if I am just fooling myself about it? Its sooo hard to decide!

If you are asking yourself wether you are just fooling yourself, it means you are getting better. If you feel bad, you feel bad and there is no place for fooling about a better place. Try to get more excited about this feeling, exaggerate your expectations of faster recovery, it will only do good, trust me!

Great video. You say, that trauma or something bad is in your mind from past. But I have days sometimes, that i feel so strong ( DP forces me to be stronger) that I dont care :-) But at the same time it is so strange, the observer is the same- pure consciousness but second layer is my psychological Self. Did you have to adapt your attachment to your real self-that you should trust to yourself ?And did you feel infinite stream of life inside you? I mean our mind is just mini puzzle in reality.-) It seems to me like more psychospiritual crisis than just anxiety. Yes it is strong piece of it but i have experience that not be afraid is not enough. The gym and scale modeling is great to be relaxed. Hello from Czech republic.

I noticed that too. Maybe she had a set back? It happens, maybe she slipped back in for a small while then came out again? Don't lose hope man we are all able to recover.

My DP has gotten so much better. I remember you saying that the DR lingered for a while and was the last to go. That’s exactly how I feel now. I have emotions back and interests return. Sometimes I’ll have bad days where I’m back to feeling flat but my main frustration is the bit of DR that’s left. Colors and textures are super exaggerated. When I’m out for hikes it becomes hard to ignore. It’s such a slow recovery process and seems that this last bit will never return to normal.

Of course it will, don’t even think opposite. It is slow, but the more you are redirecting your attention to life the faster it will fade out! Keep on going, you will be fine! Trust me! I promise!🎉

Марина, здравствуйте! Подскажите , если я стараюсь занимать свой день и отвлекаться , говорю себе каждый день что это временно и у меня случается дни, когда хотя бы тревога не настолько разрывающая, но все все равно ДП остаётся . Значит ли это, что я иду на поправку?

Почему-то кажется что интенсивность эмоций в эти плохие дни больше чем до др. И не было столько негативных чувств одновременно

Ну, тут у всех по-разному, у некоторых нет эмоций вовсе. Но невроз-это всегда негатив! Поэтому, если отключения эмоций не произошло, то усиливается тревожный фон и все отрицательные/негативные ощущения.

The things that you say are so true, I have experience this fear when you face reality, when you are in your body and conscient and then you realize how bizarre is to have feelings and sensations again... It is so real and overwhealming that make me anxious and kinda push me in DPDR again like if I was safer there.

It’s just a habit to be scared, you will get used to reality again, it’s a training process, you’ll get there and the “storm” is going to be over.👍🏻
