Hi Paula, I am so glad you loved the bits & pieces I sent you🥰 I am also so glad that we have found each other last year,💯👯♀️🥰 thanks to Luise 💛& Barbara💛🥳🙏 Sorry, I left you off the map🇳🇿🤭 I loved making the tag for you ! I hadn't allocated either person, but you are right, they are very cute, so that must be us😂🤣😂 For the texture I mixed smooth texture paste with beach sand⛱️ The owl and the leaf are stamps that I made from those foam sheets you can buy in craft shops. The stencil is a damask wallpaper pattern, again texture paste on top of gesso. Then coffee, there might have been a little bit of walnut stain in it. The black paper was a magazine page that I used last dephemerember for the prompt "Christmas meets Halloween" You also got some of the pages my with rust water experiments & coffee, the two comined create different shades of grey to almost black. The serviette was an experiment following one of Luise's fabolous videos, where she stamped onto a non stick surface and then used thinned grungy glue (mixed with coffee) to adhere one layer of serviette on top, to pick up the stamped image. She had some great results!! The last two pages come from whichcraftdoyoudo in Australia, they have been printed on news print paper. I have stamped the phrases( Tim Holtz clear stamps) onto matte photo paper. So you cod throw some oxide ink onto it,which then would be waterproof😃 🙋♀️💖💖💖🏡👩🏼🎨

Thank you for the awesome bundle of scraps. You never fail to send items that delight me and I know will challenge me. We are two peas in a pod, soul sisters who must've known each other in a past life or something as we do get on and seem to know each other so well. I love the tag. They might need to be on display during Dephemerember cheering me on, but then they will eventually go into my Happy Mail / Gratitude Journal, once I finish making it... I've done the cover! I've not tried adding sand to texture paste, mainly because I'm not much of a beach person, no bikini body, but I might have to convince myself to go for a wander to collect some. I do have some of the sheet foam and have made some texture plates which I've used on my gelli print plate, but not tried them as stamps... DUH! Adding that to my techniques to try in the New Year list. Ahh some of the infamous rust and coffee water experiments currently heading my to-do list. It really is a long list! I don't think I watched that video, so now I need a videos to watch in the New Year list as well. I've heard of Whichcraftdoyoudo, and briefly looked at their website but not bought anything. The huge freigh charge is a little off-putting, but I might need to go back and have another look... you are such an enabler! LOL Gotcha re the phrases. I will try that. Awesome idea about the stamping and the Oxide ink. Love you Scrappy Sister

Actually, the texture paste I mixed up for your tag, might have included powder sugar, since it's so white. I have heard people using aquarium sand to add to acrylic paint to mix your own. I'll have to experiment some more during Dephemerember 🎉

I hadn't thought of aquarium sand. Surely that's an expensive option, but if you don't have access to a beach, then needs must. Thank goodness we're close to a beach.
