Deploy Zoom with Microsoft Intune

I'm new to Intune and I really appreciated this video! I have added other apps before but Zoom was on my list. Your video was well made, with good pacing, and excellent explinations. I definitely learned from watching this and look forward to future videos. The command line was a little blury for me in the video. But I found a page on Zoom's support site that has the command line you suggested as well as a few others.

Hi! question- If we went ahead and installed it with no command-line arguments, how can we go about updating to a new version? Would we have to uninstall the app for the devices and then re-install the new version?

Hey! If you install with no arguments, and you wanted to set some arguments it *MAY* be possible to use some admx or settings file that will make those changes. Uninstalling and reinstalling with the correct attributes would be possible too, and probably my go-to.

Hello, great video! I'm debating to use the Zoom .MSI vs wrapping it as Win32. What would you say is the most significant factor between the two? I have been using Win32 for Zoom deployments in the past but this seems much simpler to manage. Thanks!

We have the same deployment, it works just fine! Our users are local admins, so they can install it without IT letting know. Do you have any idea how we can block not assigned users from using it? I have played with the assignments and the excludements, but it's not reliable.

Hi Dean - How can I configure Zoom for Intune to open directly when a Zoom meeting link is clicked from iOS calendar or Outlook for mobile? We have it working for Zoom w/ Airwatch but can't sort it with Intune. Thanks!

I wouldn't advise installing any apps as MSI, I would just repackaged them into win32 and push them as such, doing it like this gives you more control

@@DeanEllerbyMVP LoB doesn't work with ESP either. Microsoft should really mark it as legacy. It will be great when the new store integration comes out of preview as apps like zoom say unsupported during preview. Other apps like Adobe and citrix work though the store integration though 😉

Agreed, doesn’t support dependencies & supercedence either, - I am looking forward to the PSADT content though, - mainly for just deferrals and other customizations 😄

Andrew - LOB works with ESP, it just doesn't play nice with other apps. Or did I misunderstand your point?

@@DeanEllerbyMVP Yes it's more accurate to say you can't mix LoB and win32 apps with ESP/autopilot. Just easier to stick to win32 and then no issues with ESP.
