We don't need to leave the ECHR, just implement a law that explicitly states the UK law is supreme and ECHR rulings will be headed as guidance but are not able to overrule laws passed by the commons. There are quite a few ECHR members that do exactly this and plenty of them have effectively ignored ECHR rulings without consequence. Only in the UK, it seems, do we treat ECHR judges as demigods that can override the will of the British People.
