It is neglect for illegal immigrants to take their children on a trek across lands with lack of water, food, etc. They put their children through suffering to get here. Clearly you know nothing about how it works. When people enter the country without a visa, they have to apply for residense an asylum seeker. They then wait in the country for their application to be processed. If they are denied, they are shipped back to their home countries. A significant population of illegal immigrants are also those who overstay their visitor and work visas. There is no such thing as "walking in illegally and staying without petitioning the authorities" as you imply. Don't be ignorant, it's dangerous.

@@sohu86x It is true though that some people evade border patrol and enter the country completely illegally. Not to mention there are instances of human smuggling over the border where individuals do not check in with border patrol. However, the point you make is important and fully misunderstood by the general public. The vast majority of people entering at the southern border ARE apply for asylum and being granted temporary status in the country. They are not here illegally, they have gone through the process at the border. The main issue with this is the capacity of the asylum courts. We cannot keep up with the vast number of asylum seekers, many admittedly are not valid claims, but that isn't up to border patrol to determine. The best way to deal with the immigrants would be to process their cases faster. If they have a valid claim for asylum under law, they should be allowed here, or tear down the statue of liberty.
@stephenwatts9853 ай бұрын
@sohu86x Yes it's called catch and release but when thousands upon thousands come all at once there's going to be a few that get through with bad intentions. With a work visa you can apply and get a social security number so Even if you overstay your visa to the one's checking you, your legal cause you have a social security number. If an asylum seekers come here their given a court date to appear for asylum status under this administration and some don't have to go to court for 10 years all the while their released into the country. No one is shipped back home from this administration cause this administration doesn't believe in deportation. The killers of Lycoln Riley are still sitting in our jail cells waiting on Ice for deportation. So why is it taking so long? How many got aways has there been under this administration? With the Trump administration he had instated the Remain in Mexico until they were properly vetted. Every citizen in any country must adhere to the established laws, regardless of the time that has passed since an infraction occurred. Like many things in this country, the border crisis is simply political. The reason the Biden administration kept the border open was to import illegals give them IDs and use the American taxpayer to feed, house, and clothe them while putting them on a "fast track" to citizenship. Many of these immigrants are bused to sanctuary cities, some of which are in key swing states. For those concerned about families being torn apart, if we had stricter border policies that wouldn't be an issue, nor woulld the level of human trafficking by the cartels continue at the scale it's been the last four years. It's easy (and even the humanitarian way) to suggest these millions of immigrants seeking asylum should be allowed in the country...right up until they show up on your block.
