Instead of having remorse and go and look legit work she’s there complaining whining and have the audacity to be threatening law suit ! now I see why the prison conditions is the way it is because that is the deterrent to try to stop them ! I now see why the husband sentence was less than hers because he probably knew that what he did was wrong and had some type of remorse ! If that is how criminals think , God help us all ! She said thousands of mules are in lock up , well let’s hope the word gets around to the new recruited mule , that the end result is terrible if they get caught ! Hmm 🤔

I'm sorry to say this, but you did the crime, got caught, and had to do the time. As someone who practised law in the Federal court system(E.D.N.Y.), I would say that you do not have a cause of action. Once you admitted to carrying illegal drugs, you defeated your own cause. Had you pleaded not guilty and still being convicted, you could have sued for many things, starting with false arrest. Doing an interview is also not going to help any potential legal action you may try. Suing for inhumane treatment in a U.S. prison is extremely difficult if you're no longer in the prison, and doing the case alone(as the sole litigant). My best advice is to see if you can connect with (by mail) current and former prisoners(from that prison) and see if you can work on a class action lawsuit against the prison.

I am all for humane treatment for everyone including people convicted of a crime. I also appreciate her speaking out to bring attention to this so it never happens or continues. HOWEVER, You need to take a low seat lady. You and your husband were bringing drugs into the US and you are contemplating a suit? You are verse on the mistreatment and laws, but weak on facts re what your husband did to be convicted. We should be suing you! I wish you would sue, you may pick up another charge so hurry up. Ppl just get so wrong and strong and brazen with their misdeeds. Also, this is not a Jamaican accent. Sounds Grenadian or Vincentian.

How many lives were saved because of what could have happened to those who might have used those drugs? These people are merchants of death and the lowest form of society. The weight loss was a blessing. Would imprisonment in a Jamaican prison be better? Why is The Gleaner giving her publicity?

@@A.Walker. Yes but she said she went to school in JAMAICA . She was born elsewhere ....we know other Jamaicans.... she was using words and phrases we do not use in Jamaica. eg Gran company so she is trying to tell us her grand daughter gave her drugs to carry. Shuckle up we dont use those words - shackle.... She just sounds different. She was born somewhere else and may have been naturalised. Not that it matters as she is now one of us.
