Couple, 3-year-old and another child due live in a tent on the beach

MARCH 7, 2022: Pandemic-related depression, the death of an infant son, job loss, and family feuds have rendered a couple homeless, forcing Anakay Thomas Peart and her husband, Parnel Peart, to pitch a tent along the shore of Bob Marley Beach in Nine Miles, Bull Bay, St Thomas where they now live.
Also living inside the tent is their three-year-old daughter, Zemora Peart.
Anakay is also in her third trimester of pregnancy and is due to give birth on March 20.

We fall sometimes, the hubby speak about the death of their child and the trauma they suffered as a result. He talked about his experiences with family who abused his generosity. He talked about losing his job...about losing his home. I am surprised they are still breathing and trying and wanting to survive after all that. Help if you want but they don't need any negativity about the size of their family.

No, Jamaica needs to teach family planning in the schools and how to set goals and priorities in life. Family planning is free. There use to be commercial on TV when I was a teenager. T he slogan was "Plan your family to better your life " there were billboards all over the island with the slogan and a birth control pill called "The Pearl " were in those commercials. The generation who the message was intended for had the lowest level of poverty and the highest number of people who attended college and universities. They also have the lowest birth rate. Girls need to be taught their worth is in themselves and get an education. Boys need to learn they have to be able to provide for children so "put a condom on the willy " that was a slogan in the 80s . One cannot keep doing the same thing and get the same results and not adjust their mind set. Children are a blessing but parents need to plan their life and have a solid foundation in place before they bring children in the world. God provided all the necessities before he created the first couple Adam and Eve. Why isn't the church counseling the young people. Welfare is a band aid.

Should she be sternly discouraged from continuing to give birth without having the resources to sustain her children? Yes. However, regardless of all of that, she still needs help. Depriving her of help results in her innocent children also being deprived of help, and they should not have to suffer because of their mother's poor choices. So my point remains; she needs help. You have to look at the bigger picture.

However, married or not there is no way I would bring another child in a SITUATION like that.. this is pure selfishness. No proper infrastructure.....clearly these parents were not thinking at all. Did you listen to what she said. She never finished high school. She got pregnant and was living in a one room with her child and mother. She has 6 children and one died. She never said how many of the children are for the husband. The oldest child is 18. It appears lessons are not learned by her first circumstances. I wonder what goals she had for herself.

The story was touching. They're married so children will happen. The man needs to do much better, because that is not someone who has ambition as he said he has. The empty hotels and church could help until baby reach 3 -6 months. These people are grateful so far and I pray they get the help they need.

Maybe these stories have now find more ways to come to light or some people just planning an easy way out. No one ain't related to hard work any more. Things and time changing. I really wish that God will provide all your family needs. I think you should sign up for pleasure but leave out the pregnancy. If you have such difficulty then be smart and stop adding. I'm now 32 with a 3 year old and don't want another right now. I'm told that the money myself and my husband earns can manage about 10 kids but I can't let mine come suffer like I did so I will work for the 1 so she can have it all. Nah stress out myself.

You won't understand from just watching this video. Some people go through some things that would have some of us in a mental facility or otherwise mad out. It's not a matter of continuing to have children before fixing your plight. Reach out to them. You'll get a better understanding. These people are great people.

You do not care about your other children before this pregnancy/you lack empathy 2. You lack critical thinking skills 3. You're bad at managing your bodily autonomy ( you already have 4, 5 will not help your situation) 4. You lack impulse control (by not using protection) 5. You're lacking in personal ambition (you should want better for your children, if not yourself) I shall be keeping my money in my purse...I'd rather help the elderly and the sick....some situations are avoidable and after the 2nd child it's no longer a "mistake" but rather "intent"....

Everyone has a right to a family; But as I said earlier, birth control ( condoms ) are effective methods to help people both poor and rich , control their family 's growth. Vasectomy is usually irreversible and cruel and unusual punishment , to recommend for someone because they are poor. Some of the greatest scholars, humanitarians and most talented people in the world, came out of poor people .
