I watch hours and hours of depositions. And when the person being deposed is evasive or doesn't answer the question the deposing attorney can direct them to answer and not beat around the bush. Is my amateur eye missing something or is the lawyer going soft on the Officers? I understand that you don't want to argue and respecting police is best, but did you have any friendly angles or defensive gameplan going in?

It is his position that he either did not understand the question or that he did provide an answer. I'm not saying that it is true. In fact I believe he was being deceptive.
