the "15 minutes of fame" angle is basically what she uses when they literally got nothing else. it's a televised court, so this speculative angle could apply to every single person in the courtroom. be it witnesses or experts, they could all hypothetically be there for fame or exposure in one way or another.. especially for those witnesses and people who jumped into court after it's publicity. so it becomes this obvious low hanging fruit to grab when there is nothing else to use. so if anything, it's a good sign when Elaine tries that angle because it just shows how solid the witness is for the most part

Yeah, it says they are incoming. If they're pulled from his phone/records I don't know how that means anything other than they were sent TO him. I can't believe I haven't heard anyone else mention it before and that it didn't come up again in court. They are on par with his actual messages in severity, but a completely different tone and vulgarity that he hasn't shown and is clearly at odds with when accused with them. If they were his they would add dimension to his vices and negative aspects of his character, if that makes sense. It's like saying... In addition to doing drugs and using savage and hateful language when he is upset and venting, did you know he's also a full on mysoginist red pill Andy talking about grabbing women by the pussy, etc. The latter is actually worse imo, but see how it goes in the direction of overall making him look more categorically "bad". His reasoning is also quite simple. He says he doesn’t have the “hubris and/or expectations” to write something like that… it is not about the language of the text… but the content… he simple said he could never write something like that because it is not something he actually believes to be true for him that “he can get any women he wants”. As a non-lawyer, my impression is that lawyers tend to see the profession of 'lawyer' through rose-tinted glasses (lawyers as some kind of heros, as vanguards of justice), and so they don't understand that lawyers in general are more distrusted than not by the general public. As a non-lawyer, I don't see how Rottenborn did well. Rottenborn just came off sounding arrogant and malicious, and it turns out that he was claiming that an 'incoming' text was written by Johnny Depp. So this time around, Rottenborn really conclusively proved that he is as rotten a lawyer as they come---he's the kind of lawyer that presents false evidence. I felt that Johnny seemed even more natural and sincere than before, and he was unafraid to say the truth without any reserve. I felt that whereas he was more nervous in his first testimony, this time, he had gotten used to being in court and was just saying things as he saw it without varnish, and he was not hiding how angry he was toward Rottenborn, as he would to be. Rottenborn is acting as a shield for Amber Heard's lies, and he himself falsifies evidence in the process. I would say that the general public is more likely to feel this way, as they don't see the profession of 'lawyering' through rose-tinted glasses as lawyers themselves tend to do.

He wasnt as charming and put together as last time and it gives more foundation to the accusations from AH. You should read articles written to defend her, they frame the trial completely differently, and it is those articles and other clips that the AH crowd is watching. If anything lawyers are more willing to let their personal morality aside and look at a situation from many angles. I think theyd be the last to put every lawyer in a rose tinted heroic position.

@@Starfish0. Thank you for restoring some of my faith in humanity! I was so frustrated with people on another channel saying "wow, I hope JD's team brings in an expert to show the jury how and why you can tell these pics are identical." And I'm sitting there thinking... okay, maybe it'd be nice if they could hammer that point home, but do they really need an expert for this? Are people really that stupid that they can't plainly see that the location of every strand of hair, every eyelash, every shadow and highlight, every single minutia of the camera angle, her posture and her expression, are one hundred percent identical in both images?
@Starfish0.2 жыл бұрын
@@Vox-Multis Yeah I was very frustrated too! But the good point about the expert is that he exposed all of those pictures were photoshoped, but also when he layered the pictures, Amber and Elaine got a sad face 😂 it was priceless. I swear if I had the skills I'd make a short animation where the both pictures are shown and everyone is discussing it as if it was a very hard and distant probability of them being the same, then when the expert layer them, the world collapses in surprise as if it was the biggest plot twist in humanity history. The title of the animation would be "Human IQ". Cause seriously 😒

I feel the whole point of having JD on the stand again was: 1. His attorney's knew he could handle the questions. 2. A to Emily’s question: If I were a juror I’d want to start with a timeline and then see a visual of all photos, audio and visual exhibits on the timeline. I would want to also see each of the testifying witnesses placed on the timeline as to the time period they spoke about, if specific. Expert witnesses who gave testimony attributed to large portions of time could be set aside onto a secondary pie chart where we could gradually, as a group, fill in the relative importance of each topic of testimony as we saw fit (and as we progressed through the timeline). I’d start at the beginning of the timeline, get a relationship history we could all agree upon in terms of basic facts, then look at expert testimony. I think it would be helpful if the jury decided together what the rank order of importance was for the issue were that each expert witness testified to (if expert was not speaking to a clear time period with a start and an end), so that we could come up with an order to review expert testimony that made sense. I’m a visual person so there’s no way I could just listen to a bunch of things and write them down without trying to bring some order to the information visually. It would help me understand how much I had to digest in relation to where I started and what the end goal was. I’ve never been a juror, but it would be great someday to fulfill an important role in a case that mattered. Thanks for this channel!

I finally watched Depps cross and I don't feel its as damaging as some say. You guys all scared me! I felt emotionally upset for JD. I didn't really feel they presented anything new and I think the photos on the train weigh less because of the digital forensic expert. He sent worse texts. Although, if I was a pro-Amber female and I saw those texts I might be put off? But I don't know if that would make me ignore evidence that he never hit her. I also didn't feel he was that argumentative? I also feel it was shitty that no one picked up that one of those set of texts JD denied sending said "incoming".

I'm a software engineer (heavy computer user since mid-90s) with knowledge of computer graphics files (the information they hold) for over a decade, and even more recently (4 years) into photography and videography as a hobby. I incidentally understand and knew basically everything the digital forensics expert testified to. He was absolutely correct. It was easy to tell why he couldn't say "chroma" or initially linger into the issue of "iTunes backups." Digital forensics is simply tracing the origin of a file and proving or disproving that it has been modified from some original source. The main point of that expert is that none of the photo evidence of Mrs. Heard has anything to prove origin and authenticity. After that, it's a minor detail to understand that the eXif data is meaningless at that point. Cross had a valid point in asking "your testimony did not uncover any evidence demonstrating the photos were edited." I actually think the answer to this question is sort of "yes." The invalidity of the question is that said expert was disallowed to offer that analysis and opinion. All he could say is "can't tell who did what to any of these files." It's like asking someone who is a physicist "you are not able to prove with only pluming knowledge that the universe is 100 billion years old?" There's silliness in the situation and I don't know if the jury reads the issue. I actually think Amber's layers messed up even bigger than what happened as asked "why or how did he think the image data was modified?" That was license for him to go back to talking about analysis of chroma, rgb data etc. AH's team still stupidly opened the door allowing the expert getting into why iTunes backups don't provide any authenticity of the images. AH's team was silly to try to suggest that eXif data showing Photos 3.0 could mean that the files were only opened and resaved. If there was knowledge the pictures were going to be used in a court case, you know you don't want to change things and wouldn't take such a silly step. It sucks that the jury will probably find all of it too confusing. The relevant idea is that none of the photos of anyone can be trusted to show accurate bruising/color. I think a photo expert could prove that edits were made in certain cases (almost certainly inauthentic or inaccurate), but to prove that no edits were made (certain they are authentic) is actually impossible.

Rottenborn was playing a weird semantics game regarding the "handle," and he's being so rushed that I don't think anybody else in the courtroom understands what he's talking about. A "handle" of liquor refers to a 1.75L bottle, which may or may not have an actual handle attached. I believe that Depp was referring to a bottle that happened to have a handle on it as part of its design.
