At 4:02 you can swap the values - they just happen to be the same value! Depreciation is $4000, book value is $4000.

Great Videos. The true book value at the end of the first year should be $8400 (10 000 - 1600). It seems like it is not giving the accounting BV which is original cost minus the accumulated depreciation (without substracting the salvage value ). something to watch out for I guess. It is actually computing the remaining depreciation instead of the BV

The 200% only works because your base % is 20%. If it were 30% then it would be 300%
