Thank you for your efforts, banks are using method: (Actual 365) 365/365 to calculate loans, performed by MBA's or (university professors) Phd's in numerical analysis. Can you do what they do on the HP12C? HP12C by default is performing 30/360.

Interesting, I don’t get the numbers he’s showing, maybe this is the reason?

Is there any quick way to see what’s your outstanding balance is to say after 5 years or after 104 months of amortization?

Im getting slightly different numbers on the 12c platinum, off by a few cents after a year.

I was too. I believe it calculates based on the number of decimal points you're set to. Hit f then 6 to have 6 decimal places like him and the calculations should be the same.

@@tykaps6826 That would make sense. Interesting that it rounds to the displayed decimal places.

I'm also getting slightly different numbers. I'm using 6 decimals places like he is. Still can't get the numbers to match exactly.

What if I wanted to find the interest and principal paid in the last period? (month 12 of year 30)

I had the same question. Have you found a way to find the interest and principal payed for specific months using the hp12c?
