Great video as always. Love your honesty and I'm glad you're feeling better. Since lockdown I've definitely started to appreciate our outdoor spaces more. I love being able to hear the birds when I'm out and about. To anyone who reads this : running is therapy for those who don't actually need therapy. If you do please seek help either from family and friends or a health professional. It will make a difference but you have to take the first step by letting someone know.

Injury and being unable to run really can be a downer on your mood. It makes running seem like a double edged sword sometimes. Great when it's going well but a real kicker when it's not. Glad to hear you're on the upside mate.

Dealing with mental health issues is not a weakness. Its just something to work through and finding out what what truly makes you happy! Lovely looking trails btw mate. Running the trails worked wonders for me when I was suffering a few months ago. More men should speak about these issues. I'm sure we can all help each other by speaking openly.

Very good video Steve. Running definitely helps me with the topic you talk about here. 9 times out of 10 a run will help lift my mood for the rest of the day if I'm feeling down, stressed or going through a bout of depression. Only lasts the day for me though, unfortunately. It's a medicine, not a cure. Keep up this brilliant content!

Great video Steve. I'm going through a very dark time with loss of a close family member and running is one of my main coping strategies. Love all your videos, keep it up 👍

Mate, I’m really sorry to hear that. Time is a great healer and keep the running going if it makes a little difference. Hopefully you have family and friends to talk with, if not shout me up, I’ve been though some bad family things too. Head up mate

Depression is a horrible thing. Biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK and I knew someone personally who took their own life back in 2019 where I worked, left behind 3 kids who have been changed by that event in their lives probably forever. I’ve been depressed too and still do get depressed at times, certain things can trigger it but the one thing that always pulls me out is my 3 girls. The reality is that men just don’t like talking about how they feel especially to family as they don’t want to burden them and I’m guilty of it myself. Children/family life and just life in general can be a major disruption to running but just remember that once they start going to school full time all of a sudden things become easier as they get older in some respects but also harder as well 😂 Hope you feel better soon and thanks for the video 👍

Oh wow, I didn’t realise that under 45 stat, that’s awful. Not wanting to burden your family and friends is definitely true, I can relate to that. I hope you’re in a good place right now though and long may it last! Thanks got the pointers on focusing on family and my girls are growing fast too, it’s frightening really!
