As a Yankee fan, the MLS stadium in Queens near Citi Field is why they're building this park. Yankee Stadium has this too across the ballpark with a baseball field and a park around it for people because where the new Yankee Stadium is used to be a park. The Mets are also doing this park becsuse the street behind Citi Field sucks. Its deserted and the whole block is filled with Auto Shops for car repairs. Its been there since Shea Stadium and I've been there couple times. They had to add stuff outside of the stadium to make it look better for fans and people/tourists visiting the area.

Arrowhead Stadium should not be replaced. Citi Field needs some decor around the ballpark: a delicatessen dive bar, graffiti on a long wall of Mets related history, an ice skating rink, a garden🪴 , a neighborhood of ambience, a giant big screen to watch Mets games. I am not from New York.

Jets should come back to Queens and have a great stadium that is there's. When they were at Shea they never played a preseason game there Mets had top priority they played in Yankees or a neutral site. They share with the Giants and they are second class . To have there own stadium in Queens would be perfect.

Brewer fan here, we went to a Brewer Met game at Citi Field last summer. We were surprised how many parking spots were empty (mass transit helps to that). We come from the tailgate culture at Miller Park/ AmFam where the lots are fairly packed and people are hanging out having a good time. But overall it is a beautiful stadium though and really enjoyed the experience.

It's illegal to have a open container on nyc property and it's enforced. Dumb that u can't tailgate at a sporting event! Only nyc . Nyc is a total cesspool and I'm glad my jets are 17 miles from my house and not in cesspool nyc!

Detroit Tiger fan here. This looks amazing. While being different sports look at what the Packers did with Titletown Disctrict. it's got a sledding hill, a brewery, health clinic, hotel, and more. it was a shopping area but when most of the larger retailers left they worked a deal with the smaller stores to move down the highway a bit and built it up. The same happened at Gilette.

Sounds great until you can’t get enough parking.. parking garages are great.. except they become a bottleneck before/after the game.. here in AZ, Chase has a few garages.. lots of parking in a small place.. can’t tailgate.. and it becomes a line after the game.. where surface lots have quite a few exits.. also nice how they are spending other peoples money for little gain.. cities need to tell them.. YOU WANT IT… YOU’RE WELCOME TO BUILD IT.. and YOU’RE WELCOME TO PAY FOR IT!

I would guess 60 percent of folks who attend Met games don't drive. Maybe more. I have been to near 30 games and have driven there myself once. Trains/ubers make it so much easier and less stressful, and with the cost of parking, it is actually cheaper too.

What they lose in a parking lot I think they get back in the garages. Allegedly they're going to be three stories high but have two levels below. So each would be five levels but only three levels would be visible from ground level.

What was beyond left field at Forbes Field was that piece of land between Forbes Field and Carnegie Library. In right was the cliff that dropped straight off to Panther Hollow. Schenley Park was, and still is, across the bridge over Panther Hollow. It was a rat infested dump that was too small and, with the cliff beyond the right field stands, no way to expand.

The Mets and Queens city planners have been trying to pull this off on the other side of the stadium in Willets Point aka the Iron Triangle for over 15 years now to no avail.
